when you replied to a quoted post that asked the question how is Mvila better than Mikel with the opinion Mvila is a better passer. i don't see how different i could have took it. but i`ll accept that wasn't what you were trying to express now. with Mikel i guess he`s always gonna polarise fans..and the site has had more than enough debates on the pros and cons of Mikel so i don't wanna start another one. i agree that we don't need Mvila also because of Oriol. (and atleast in my eyes others we already have.)
-
he`s done it plenty of times already. i`m sorry for you that you haven't been able to pick that up off a small screen but even if Mvila can pass better that don't make him a better player than Mikel. we aren't talking creative playmakers here.
-
The fact he can play in a variety of roles is the only reason i can see why we interested in him. 20m is obviously a lot of money but i`d say in todays football that`s a reasonable price for him. when you consider Jordan Henderson went for that and Everton bought him for 15m and he`s improved as a player since then. i don't personally think we need him, Oriol is gonna be a superb player of that i`m pretty damn sure, him and Mikel should be the DM`s in a double pivot with Lampard/Ramires/McEachran competing for the other more creative spot in it. quite a few midfielders would need to leave to make room for him i think.

i don't agree with that atall..but more importantly it looks like neither does the club.

welcome to TC, illya.

unless his contract is running out soon..he can cry himself the Mississippi river, ain`t gonna change a thing..he`ll stay in Munich until they decide they don't want him any more.

Bayern, probably hardest club in the world to sign a quality player from. at this stage i highly doubt the validity of the rumour that he`s available. i`d take him over Hulk if he becomes available tho. nothing against Hulk, just think Muller is better option due to age and probably a lil cheaper, experience and proven in higher level of competitions etc..
-
great player that Dortmund produced and will have for atleast 3 or 4 years. i`d rather us sign Hulk than hang out on a limb for 3 or 4 years minimum..and panic buying any RW/RF player we can get out hands on when the transfer window starts to close.

Welcome aboard Eden. may we have a long and trophy filled time together.

just a matter of crossin` the dots...

Everton haven't got a long list of strikers....

we don`t have to imagine what Mikel,Lampard and Ramires would be like against Barcelona.. :blue scalf: :blue scalf:

that in part was what i had typed out in the post that didn't send . that i think the fact that he could play LB was what may have resulted in him starting so many games on the bench. i think Carlo saw him as being good to have there so he could cover two positions.if you have Malouda on the bench he`s only really covering for one. i will always love Yuri because i really think he saved our bacon, our double when Cole missed that time through injury that season. i really can't remember him letting us down when called upon and unlike Malouda ,Yuri always seemed to play with his heart in it. we didn't see the best of him because he was kept away from showing it but there was still some golden moments. i`ll be watching him in the Euro`s and wishing him well, atleast i presume he`s in the Russian squad. he`s the only player i have had in signature pic on here..
-
just the usual football agent pimping out his whore. we got three better LB`s than him already on our books.

and don't forget Betties Jubilee..

there`s the Financial Fair play ruling coming in soon. meaning that regardless of how much Roman has,he can't just pay over the odds all the time anymore..the more he pays for Hulk the more costs will be have to taken from elsewhere. maybe a player sold that if we signed Hulk for a fair price he could have stayed and helped us more than paying over the odds for Hulk. Hulk`s release clause was silly in the past. Porto have wised up and brought the price down since then.they`ll just have to wise up a lil bit more and realize that there just aint that much interest in Hulk outside of Chelsea so no bidding war with a host of Europes big teams is likely to happen. and it`s a case of accept our generous offer or fook off. Porto obviously love Hulk but they know that they can win the same trophies they do with or without him,so either make a big profit or don't the ball is in their court.

i typed out a long reply about Yuri (sharing my love for him) but it failed to send,,grrrrr keeps auto saving my posts and if they are anything over 3 or 4 lines it`s hit and miss if they`ll send.usually miss as they just get stuck on auto-saving.

if it wasn't for Drogba,Malouda would have been the most frustrating footballer of the Roman era to date...great for a bit, useless, then great again, back to useless..maybe both him and Drogba`s body language has somehow given out the wrong signs but there`s been so many times when he just doesn't even look interested in playing when he`s already on the field. Malouda,Drogba and Anelka were guilty of being like that at atleast one stage of the season, every season they played for us. i don't know why it happens with french footballers or rugby players for that matter..they are supremely gifted far more than English players in both sports but their attitude seems to always be the one thing that lets them down and holds them back. sell Malouda, loan him ,do whatever you want with him but get him the fuck away from Chelsea, Roman. he will only be an unwanted distraction and his play no longer makes him worthy of trying to deal with it. p.s. i know Drogba is african as he plays for Ivory Coast. but i count him as french in this due to him spending the majority of his young life there.

it`s there somewhere Arsene...pretend it`s a young mans arse and you`ll get straight in there. after the extra practice you`ve had in that department..

No need to buy a new Right-back
Duppy Conqueror replied to ChelsPrad2000's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
i agree with that also. we can't rely on Sam. but when the OP brought Kane into the convo i agreed with the post as a whole. Bran is pretty solid and seems to get suspended more than injured so we shouldn't need someone who is ready to start for any prolonged time just yet anyway. -

i agree actually for the reasons you have given and if the youth struggle if Bran goes down for a spell then there are plenty of other players who could slide into that spot and be solid there until he`s back..there are a couple of teams that Bran struggles against, the teams with elite speed on their left flanks but i don't think there`s enough to make us have to buy a flyer at the RB at this stage. i personally would play Ramires at full back against Bale for example. probably best to put the question before the answer tho. -
i want to change my name, bluedrew is what i`m known on other sites so went for that as couldn't think of anything better at the time..i can't think of anything better still but thought i`d brace y`all for a change is gonna come... other handles i have used on other sites are: TheHoneydripper (it was a homage to Roosevelt "The Honeydripper" Sykes but i don't think others got the reference and thought it made me sound like i loved myself or something..i do..but not in a "choccie boy" way..) then there was "The Boy In a Glass Elevator" but i guess that`s too long .. ideally i want a one word name. i guess just Andy has already been taken?

to save Scottish football they should introduce a salary cap like in the NFL so other teams than the Glasgow two can compete on a more level playing field. of course things are a bit up in the air at the moment ,so now might not be the most ideal time but in the long term that is what they need i think to make it a proper competition again. of course atleast Celtic would probably vote against that and threaten to break away and into the EPL but if the EPL came out and said they wouldn't accept scottish teams then Celtic would have to go along with it or cease to exist.. can remember when the so called big 5 of english football wanted to break away and that what started the ball rolling to the PL coming about. it`s upto Scotland to sort out their mess..they will have to be more open to change than they have in the past or continue this slide into obscurity.

it`s England v Belgium coming up media are obviously all over them like a rash. more game time would have been just a few more games. despite all of those so called superior forwards, there was times when neither of them were performing and times when they were all misfiring at the same time. he should have atleast been given a go at such times, at the worst it would have meant even if he misfired too that he would have atleast gained some EPL experience. the veterans that were misfiring didn't need that. there has been a what seems like a long standing problem now that when the veterans are misfiring throughout the team, coaches will stick with them rather than trying something different with a youngster. he couldn't really have got much game time at the "business end" of the season as things turned out..but definately should have been given a proper chance during the "dark months".
