Stats 7,194
So glad Palace made it, always had a soft spot for them tbh. If ever there was a club that deserved a bit of good fortune, it's them. They were nearly dead 3 years ago, they had to sell many players and had a game at Sheffield Wednesday that if they had lost they woulda been relegated to league 1. What a performance. Sad for Zola but delighted for Palace. I think this match was 100x bigger for Palace so i'm just so happy for them. The talent they bring through is amazing. Developed Moses, Zaha and Williams to the first team and all have brilliant careers ahead of them. Hiram Boateng is another one of their talents who will soon come through as well. Jase 43,479
Roberto Martinez has left Wigan. Sky Sports News reporting.Don't quite get the love-in for Martinez by the English media. Plays beautiful football yes but there is a distinct lack of mention that his Wigan always concede goals from all directions, sometimes with their kamikaze style of play as well as defending, and also Wigan has always been in the relegation battle during this time there. There doesn't seem to be any sort of progression there. Heck, even Steve Bruce's Wigan has finished higher in the league! And not to mention, Martinez is like a broken record every time he speaks to the media. Rubber bullets

It is interesting to see how all of this plans out with almost every top team changing their manager for next season. I reckon ManUtd will be less of a hassle, but can't say the same about ManCity. That extra bit of grit they had under Moyes is all but gone. Hopefully we get easier wins at Goodison Park from next season onwards...
