and then the next pl season will be even more difficult for us.

Why would the PL be more difficult if they fail to make the CL? All three teams need major signings if they are to compete with us next season and they are less likely to get the big names if they don't qualify. Sure, united got the big signings this season, but that's because everybody thought it would be a one-off season. But if they fail to qualify for a second year, that's when the question marks start being raised.

Welbeck can be better than Henry if he wants too. Just like with Chamberlain and Chambers. We need to keep playing them and somewhere in between end of this season and start of next season they will start coming good. I mean. Really good.

No mid-week games for them...

No mid-week games for them...

Yeah, but no top class players for them either...

Plus, we haven't been benefiting at all from our title contenders qualifying to the CL in the past few years because they all seem to get knocked out of the group stages every season!

I'm not at all concerned about United, Arsenal or Liverpool as we're light years ahead of them, regardless if they're getting more rest or not. I'd rather at least two of them fail to qualify for next year's CL so we can have more arguments in the debate of them being mid-table teams :D

What is slightly worrying is that City are on the verge of another early CL exit and as hilarious as it is, that usually boosts their Premier League form after New Year. In the best case scenario they'll finish third in their group and go to the EL.

That would be amazing- Europa League is gruelling :) and means more likely to play Sunday's - so if we win on Saturday they will always have the pressure on Sunday

That'd sound amazing but 3rd place is looking unlikely for them now. It's eithr CSKA/Roma in 2nd/3rd.
