The fact that our backup CF is an 18 year old says everything you need to know. It's the second game in a row he's been unused despite us needing a goal.

As Begovic pointed out in a recent podcast he was on, the days of us actually going for the best players seem to be gone, and it's starting to become more apparent.

Tbf the days of us going for the best players were gone well before then. Ironically, the season we signed Begovic - Baba Rahmann, Kenedy, Matt Miazga, Falcao, Pato. Then following one even Alonso, David Luiz (both did a job tbf) and Batshuayi were hardly the best players. But yeah difference levels of guys altogether but its kind of been like that since we signed Cesc, Filipe Luis & Costa for me.

Getting rid of tuchel, cech and grana was the biggest mistake our new owners did. Massive mistake!!! If something is working 80% with a few little tweaks to get it to 90% why change!

Big fucking mistake

One of the many decisions that has made little sense..know we went a bit stale under Tuchel but we're still in the same postion just worse now!

We were so offensive that we scored zero goals last two games. With Poch fixing his concerns we may go in minus next games.

Potter 3 wins in last 5 games.

Saltor draw in only game.

Lampard 1 win in 11 games.

Poch 1 win in 5 games.

Why we sacked Potter?

First we sacked Tuchel.
The board thought there was something wrong with him but it was the players who were crap, not Tuchel.
Potter enters.
We did n't like him because we thought it was unfair what happened before with Thomas, also the results were not coming - but again it was the players who were crap.
Then Lampard.
Lampard may be the worst manager in the first eight football divisions of England but cannot be judged from his stay with that lot.
Now Poch.
Well, I think we now know what is going on.

Yet I can understand lean years.
Maybe three in a row.
But where did the one billion go ???
When it was lean years in the seventies the club did n't have to pay the milkman.

With every passing match week it is becoming more and more clearer this is a poorly assembled squad. No goals anywhere.

That's what happens when you keep signing players like a FIFA save and not worry about positional needs and experience.

Is there really no-one with a footballing brain at the club?    Did they really expect Jackson/a kid from Brazil/Mudryk/Madueke/Broja to become world-class this season and get us top 4?

We are going to get a few thrashings this season, that's for sure.   Had the chance to ease into the season with 1 really tough game and we end up dropping 6 points to Moyes & Forest.

We signed Kovacic prior to our transfer ban. The players we're targeting now are levels below, rather than a good mix of potential stars and starting-quality players (Nkunku being the exception).

The Falcao-Pato year was an exception.
It's true we no longer go for the superstars -like Mbappe is today- if we ever went for those.
In the case of Haaland we tried a little.
But it's failure upon failure what is happening.

What are Enzo and Caceido?

There was other teams lining up 100 million dollar bids for these. Caceido had Arsenal and Liverpool both value him at 95 mil or above.

Decent signings in defense and midfield. Can't really complain about seeing Caicedo, Gusto, Lavia, Enzo brought in. But betting our season on Nkunku was a bad call.
