He opted against Vlahovic as well, he sucks.

You're the ultimate retrospect warrior lol...

The fans most upset on here are the ones that were most sure of our turnaround based on a few player buys (ones that actually happened) and now we aren't better all of a sudden.

🔵 Pochettino: "We should win every game because we are Chelsea? Yes but we are not the Chelsea that won the Champions League or Premier League".

"We need to accept that it’s a project. An idea, but that we are going to build something for the future with time".

Genuinely sounds like he’s peddling out excuses already but there is always pressure here and the spending will accelerate scrutiny on him.

We should win every game as its Chelsea but we shouldn’t because its not the same team as before??? The clubs only invested over £1bn in 3 transfer windows so that’s going to always be above him or any other manager.

Yes maybe spent incorrectly in terms of certain players and valuations but you don’t expect £1bn expenditure to take what was probably a good squad, backwards. Either that or he isn’t convinced some of these players are at the level needed and is trying to send a message.

Yes we aren’t the team that won the PL or CL (they were hardly outstanding teams for a prolonged period after those seasons either given the drop off like City & Liverpool have been) and ok it is a “project” but to have only won 1 game so far and scored 5 goals - close to pretty fucking embarrassing. So theres that.

Can see him getting the boot if this season continues on in this fashion - plain and simple. But the lack of proven and experienced players in this squad doesn’t help. Him and the footballing people’s reputations will be on the line if we have another poor season.

If it wasn't for injuries, I don't think Poch would have to come up with these types of excuses.

In an ideal world, you have Badiashile/Fofana available as first choice CB, Reece as RB, Nkunku as the attacking star and a trio of Caicedo - Enzo - Lavia controlling the midfield.

Badiashile looked good last season. Although disagree on the MF. Far far far too defensive minded. But we cannot use injuries as an excuse - plain and simple.

We signed the likes of Gusto, Disasi & took Colwill back to be in the squad specifically to provide competition and pick up the slack if we lost the likes of Reece, Badiashile, Silva etc.

After all the “what a signing” comments made about Gusto and all the raving about Colwill last season amongst the other players we’ve signed this last 3 windows, to use injuries as an excuse in particular as a fan base is just shying away from the more obvious problem: a lot of these players aren’t at the level required yet (some may never be). Plain & simple.

Having been sacked from his last two jobs, had been out of work for a year and notoriously hasn't got a history of winning trophies, I was surprised that so many people(especially those in the media) thought Pochettino was a great appointment and that he would do great things at Chelsea.

I wanted Enrique or Naglesmann.

We don't even have a shirt sponsor what are we doing
This is unacceptable for a big club. Ted Lasso Boehly and co can't even do that.
No vision, no plan, no strategy, absolute amateurs run this club.
They will buy Sporting Lisbon for their financial  Multiclub project before giving Pochettino  any quality in the squad he has been talking about all summer. Which obviously won't happen because they are buying players up to 25 years old.
No leaders, no identity nothing shitshow on all levels.
1 billion spent on inexperienced youth from around the world.
Pochettino is the last problem of this club.

I said already it when the recruitment was on and Nagelsman dropped off - we laugh off Poch for years as a serial loser in Tottenham and PSG and suddenly started to think he is an elite coach who will transform us. I wanted to be delusional, but I'm starting to lean towards what was obvious from the very beginning.

Roman was passionate, demanding and ruthless leader. Clearlake is just indifferent and impose mediocrity on every level. And Poch seems to fit the general indifference. It's like everybody just shows up but then don't give a toss and just see what will come up.
