The Next Manager?

Yeah, but what "building" means at this level in particular?

The "building" have sense in a club that is in third division and going to the top.

The closest we were to "building" at this level as I see it we were with Mourinho and Tuchel.

Building means to implement a playing style, a system that can last longer than just 3 years before it needs to be changed, having the same manager for more than 6 years.

Continuity is key to success in modern football. Hire and fire on the other hand turned out to be outdated.

And yes, there was a slow but steady decline in the last few years, we literally have become Wengers Arsenal. When was the last time we were really challenging for the title over the season? We transformed from a club that is challenging for the title every year to challenging for Top4 every year, even with Tuchel. We became a P4 team.

Managers like Mou or Conte just cant build bc after 2-3 years, they completely lose the dressing room with their training methods and approach. Same goes for Tuchel, who is also a short term manager wherever he has been. And it was clear at the end of last season and start of this season that he has clearly lost the dressing room again.

What a club needs in modern football is stability, constant changes give u setbacks all the time preventing the club to reach for the highest goals.

That is why I dont want a caretaker, if Potter is replaced, but someone who can build a legacy.

Are you saying he did nothing at barca??image.png.9e68a2a7156632abb21d8a25f35d9bac.png

He only had the greatest front 3 in modern day footballing history though who scored something like 300 goals in 3 seasons between then. And even then, he left after the third season for whatever reasons when performances were very very bad.

Plus lets not forget his transfer record was abysmal at Barcelona, he is credited with signing the likes of Turan, Alcacer, Andre Gomes, Dennis Suarez, Jeremy Mathieu, Aleix Vidal, Lucas Digne. Really, Luis Suarez and Rakitic were really the only successful buys he made.

His Spain team were also one of the most boring sides I’ve seen in forever. One game against Costa Rica who were awful wont change that.

Personally would let Atletico Madrid appoint him as is heavily being speculated. I know Potter is out of his depth but Enrique isnt the answer. Pochettino is more likely to fit the clubs strategy and I would expect him to do better here than the likes of Enrique or Zidane but still have doubts over how successful we would be with him.

According to matt law the board are still behind Potter. Ffs

No one should take this twat seriously anymore. Labeling Rice as a priority for years only for us to prefer Enzo. Saying we weren't interested in Mudryk only to do a complete Uturn when Ornstein reported it.

He knows fuck all. I'm reading sources claiming the team is disinterested in Potter's meetings and training sessions.

I think Matt Law is no longer as well informed about Chelsea as he used to be.

Not disputing there's a crisis, but ''Multiple reliable, well-connected sources'' - so reliable and connected that they remain anonymous usually means 'we made up this shit'
