While #Chelsea are aware of Eden Hazard's desire to return to the club after Real Madrid made it clear they would listen to offers for the Belgian, he is not a priority target for the club at this moment. #cfc

Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku and Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho are high priority targets for Chelsea this summer. #cfc

Now Abramovich is ready to invest heavily in key target and as Lukaku has long been one of his favourite strikers, he is eager to bring the Belgian back to the club where he admits his heart lies. #cfc

Several #Chelsea players are set to leave the club this summer, with the sales of Arrizabalaga, Hudson-Odoi, Barkley, Loftus-Cheek and Abraham likely to raise a healthy sum

What about for Sancho?

If we get Lukaku, surely we won't go after Sancho too?

If Tuchel intends to stick with the back 3 next season, then getting Lukaku could cause a big problem when it comes to keeping everyone happy.

It's one thing that we want to sell those players. It's another whether clubs are willing to buy them, especially when Marina won't be selling them on a cheap.

It would be super short sighted and plain stupid to sell CHO. Tammy I’m fine with letting go but CHO is extremely useful to have in the squad.

What I don't get is why some fans seem to be in hurry to get rid of him?

Yes, he's had a disappointing season, but so have some others in the squad.  We wait for years for our youth to finally break through but then want go get rid of them after one very difficult season in a very difficult year for every one of us.

Surely we can wait one more year to see if he's going to be good enough. Same with Tammy, for me. Though i dont think Tammy will ever be good enough as first choice, I'm sure he's got enough ability to be a good squad player for us. Doesn't look like TT fancies him at all though.

Weren't there rumors that Guardiola wanted Lukaku? Would City go for him now instead of Kane given that Lukaku would be cheaper?

Since when has Pep ever gone for players with a first touch as bad as Lukaku's? He'd look  a right fish out of water in that team.

There seems to be big demand for central defenders currently but also a certain supply of decent ones. Some deals already done like Alaba, Upamecano and Konate, but Süle, Bastoni, Lacroix and many others still up for grabs.

Surely I trust our board to grab a decent one even though for me it is not priority no. 1, so we should not overspend. We got a few good ones, Thaigo got one more year in his tank I think. Also Guehi was one of the best defenders in the CS, he might very well have a role to play.

there are very few who will make me go WOW, we have just purchased a WC CB   (for all of these I list height if 1.90m or taller)

Marquinhos (DMF too)
Alessandro Bastoni  (left footed) 1.90m
Raphaël Varane 1.91m (last year, as like several others he turns 30yo in the season after the next one)

Matthijs de Ligt  (cannot see Juve selling)
José María Giménez  (injury history is poor though)

then the really good ones

Milan Skriniar
Pau Torres (left footed) 1.91m
Edmond Tapsoba    (massive upside, is only 22yo)    1.94m
Wesley Fofana  (I want to see another year in the EPL, plus Leicester has already said they value him at £70m, which is madness) 1.90m
Gianluca Mancini   1.90m
Alessio Romagnoli  (left-footer Milan is selling him supposedly  https://sempremilan.com/cm-maldini-and-massara-decide-to-sell-romagnoli-no-renewal-offer-will-be-sent-to-raiola )
Duje Caleta-Car  1.92m
Evan N'Dicka    (massive upside, is only 21yo, and a left-footer)  1.92m
Maxence Lacroix  (massive upside, is only 21yo)  1.90m

youth

Benoît Badiashile (left-footer) 1.94m
Sven Botman  (left-footer)  1.95m
Odilon Kossounou  1.91m
David Carmo (left-footer) 1.96m
Zinho Vanheusden
Sebastian Walukiewicz
Loïc Badé 1.91m
Josko Gvardiol (left-footer)

pass on

Kalidou Koulibaly   (too old for huge dosh, he turns 30 in just 24 days, and has already been showing signs of age, I do not think he is a 'great until 34yo' type)
Stefan de Vrij  (too old for huge dosh, he turns 30 in 8 months)
Niklas Süle   (if he really was all that and a bag of crisps, why are Bayern willing to perhaps sell him?)
Ibrahima Konaté     (Liverpool bound anyway)
Jules Koundé    (too short, far too short)
Dayot Upamecano (Bayern-bound anyway)
David Alaba    (wage demands are insane, he would only get one fill sub 30yo season out of him, and he is not that big, nor strong, plus he wants Real only)
Diego Carlos  (too rash, overpriced, and turns 29 this coming season, so only one fill sub 30yo season)

Of the likely prospects in bold, I think I like Lacroix and Bastoni the most. Of Tapsopa I have never been really convinced. He might be tall but he is neither particularly strong nor fast. Decent overall but neither physically nor tactically outstanding. We all probably remember him getting absolutely mauled by Lukaku last year but it does not even take a Lukaku to dominate that lanky fella. Lacroix is definitely the more accomplished player rn, heart of the 2nd best defence in Bundesliga.

N'Dicka on the other hand has stagnated. He plays on the left of rankfurts back 3 mostly and I don't think he has stood out from hinteregger and ilsanker who both are rather average defenders. Frankfurt conceded 53 goals and should have conceded more. It needed a stellar year from Silva and Kostic for them to compensate their leakage.

About Bastoni, I think he is a very natural defender with good awareness of space and runs. Maybe similar to Christensen and likewise weedy so hopefully he fills out but when you look at his wrists and ankles he does not really have much potential to put on a lot of muscle mass. Romagnoli we all know is probably the closest to the finished product.

Süle for me can still become a top CB albeit he does not have that much time after that ACL. I don't think he is perma-damaged tho. His physical recovery has been going well. The problem has been his confidence is shot, he lost a bit of pace (hopefully for him just temporarily like with Zouma) so he has been committing way too many mistakes. Bayern fans are super impatient with him and want him gone. The Bayern board want a fresh start and a more mobile, modern pair of defenders, building their defence around Upamecano and Hernandez, so there will be no place for Sple. He will need another year to fully recover so he would definitely be a gamble but I can totally see it coming off.  It is a turnaround bet but if it comes off he might he can be a special player. no other defender has this combination of size, strength, pace (if he gets it back), awareness, tactical nous, composure and technical ability.

It depends what we want from our new CB. We already have 5 cbs, 3 are at the perfect age, 2 are rapidly ageing so we need an heir or two. So we could either say that Rüdi, Christensen, Zouma are our new backline for the years to come then we would look at two young guys coming through the ranks and eventually compete for their places or we want to instantly have an upgrade over them once Thiago and Azpi are no more. In the first case we would probably best sign Lacroix and look at Guehi or some other academy product. But more likely, in the second case we would look for an experienced classy defender like Romagnoli or Varane.

Antonio Conte Names Seven Inter ‘Untouchables’ Including Achraf Hakimi & Lautaro Martinez, Italian Media Claim

https://sempreinter.com/2021/05/24/antonio-conte-names-seven-inter-untouchables-including-achraf-hakimi-lautaro-martinez-italian-media-claim/

Antonio Conte has warned Inter against selling any of seven key players, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Gazzetta.it said Conte would ask club president Steven Zhang to keep hold of Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni, Achraf Hakimi, Nicolo Barella, Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku.

Conte wants to continue as Inter’s head coach because he has created a special bond with his players, and because he thinks they can win Serie A again next season while making progress in Europe.

However, there are certain requests he will make to Zhang when the pair meet to discuss his future, and keeping those seven stars is one of them.

Conte will also ask for another left-footed wing-back in the transfer window, with Ashley Young set to be released when his contract expires.

He is expected to request either Emerson Palmieri or Marcos Alonso from Chelsea, but Inter are more likely to recall Federico Dimarco from his loan spell at Hellas Verona.

Conte also wants another midfielder and a new fourth-choice striker, as Andrea Pinamonti is expected to leave after struggling for game time.

Udinese captain Rodrigo de Paul is his dream signing in midfield, but the Bianconeri want €40 million to sell the Argentine (although they might accept a player as collateral in the deal).

Luis Muriel would cost €30 million in attack while Olivier Giroud wants a very high salary, so Inter might need to recall Eddie Salcedo from Hellas Verona as a low-cost alternative.

looks like NO untouchables anymore bitch!
