Gallagher should rotate with Mount not the deeper midfielders. Don’t see why a potential De Jong arrival would impact him at all. It’s Jorginho and Kante that would be seeing their game time reduced.

Yeah,i think i mentioned that maybe last week. Although i do think occassionally he could play in the 2 (especially if we build an elite back 3 and in games against lesser teams) also i expect we will see some 4-3-3 and other formations depending on the opponents. But still probably atleast until January (e.g after the WC) Conor may push for a loan exit not to risk his place in the WC squad.

if we sign PEA then maybe Kai moves to some times on the sides of the front 3.We can guess how players are going to be used but really aint gonna find out for a few months.

Would’ve been amazing to see Fofana in in time to play Spuds. Having him and Koulibaly manhandle Kane and Son and making freshly arrogant Spud supporters rethink their “we can win the league” predictions.

Now it’s likely to be Azpi starting at CB again who the Spuds players will really fancy themselves against.

If De Jong doesn’t happen I wonder if we go for someone else or just wait until next summer. If we’re willing to spend £70m+ on De Jong it’s clear Tuchel thinks it’s needed.

he said that midfielders need to create more... so its obvious we need criativity

Darren Bent: "If Chelsea get Aubameyang, get Fofana into that back three and De Jong in then they have to be [title contenders]."

That's why Gary Neville , Carragher and others specialist don't want this happen .

Bent is wrong tho. We need another world class attacker on top of that to be titel contenders.

I mean we bid for Raphinha, and we didn’t try an alternative.

I think that’s why we are after De Jong. If we couldn’t improve our attack and playing style with a winger we’ll try to do so by reshaping our midfield with a more fluid player.

yes, he is giving too much weight to Auba, and also ignoring the RW/creative issues

let's just assume (a BIG assumption) that Auba is up to snuff and bangs in 15 plus league goals (more like 20+ if we are taking about wining the league, which is a huge ask from his 33yo legs, as unlike Lewa, Benz, Zlatan, etc, he always relied on being a speed merchant for his goals) I still think we need a Raphinha or a Bowen or Diaby type RW threat, or at least a creative Dembele type
