We’re getting all these super high earners and unwanted players off our books but only on loan. Lukaku, Werner, Kepa, CHO. Is this going to bite us in the ass next summer when they all return and the clubs loaning them decide against taking up any buy options they have?

these games today are showing why I freak out about height with fullbacks and CBs

the dwarf Kyle Walker-Peters (and he is a cm taller than Cucurella) was just ROASTED in air by the hardly giant (but not a dwarf) Sessegnon

Are you Cartman by any chance?😂

Oh, wow. Wonder what kind of fee we’re getting for him.

Would guess somewhere around 30M€ give or take a few.

I'm actually more interested if he's taking a wage cut or if there's some kind of salary compensation included in the deal. No way Leipzig are paying as much as he earned with us.

Best case scenario would be a fee of +30M€ and player taking a wage cut so we'll get him off the books completely. That'd be a total saving of £23M a year on the club's books for wages+amortisation.

No deal for Fofana is imminent then if he’s starting for Leicester. Like Alonso yesterday, you wouldn’t want a player getting injured if a move is on the brink. Especially not an £80m one.

Hope we really push this coming week to have him in for the Spuds game.

But if club could get fontana, and able to replace jorginho with better player. it means we will have very strong personnel when it comes to defence (thiago, koulibally, fontana, james, cucurella, chilwell + proper dm) sometimes i even thinking, even with crazy manager like bielsa, probably our defence just gonna be fine

While manager like bielsa, in the other hand, probably he able to coach and develop much better attacking cohesive unit.
Something that tuchel incapable to convince us even for almost 2 year in here. Our attacking play in too many matches is still really dross, seeing our team only able to create chances from wingbacks is sad

I think the difference there is that Leicester would be selling Fofana reluctantly, whereas having bought Cucurella we'd be looking to move Alonso on.

So for them the incentive to leave him out isn't really there, compared to us protecting Alonso from injury.

Some of the rumours coming out last week were that he'd be willing to take a wage cut to facilitate a move. At that point it looked like being a loan deal and seemed to suggest he'd drop his wages to fit into Leipzig's pay structure. I don't see any reason why that would change for a permanent move, as it seems that he wants to go back to Germany and be playing regularly.

Good luck to him, he's a very likeable character and I would have loved things to work out here but he just doesn't have the technical ability to fit in. He'll be more suited back in Germany to the higher lines and playing off the shoulder of the last defender.

Fabrizio talk in a permament deal.

The question is clear - will you give heaps of money (80millions and up) for a promising player, but still unproven.

Or would you give  cheap money for someone like Lewis Dunk, Coady, etc .
