King Kante 1,643
49 minutes ago, Vesper said: these games today are showing why I freak out about height with fullbacks and CBs the dwarf Kyle Walker-Peters (and he is a cm taller than Cucurella) was just ROASTED in air by the hardly giant (but not a dwarf) Sessegnon Tbf, that goal was a lot to do with positioning and not being strong enough, same with TAA's. Tbh, if you're short you have to shit house like Dave or Cannavaro and make contact as the player goes up and ensure that you don't get caught ball watching/directly underneath the ball. Not saying short CB's aren't an issue, they are. But those two goals were poor defending more than anything else; although tbf, the Klua ball in for Spuds was excellent. Blue Armour 4,468
Considering what happened to Koulibaly and Silva in this match, its no wonder why we need to go in for a 2nd quality CB this window. At their age, coupled with the loss of Colwill, we could face big problems without adequate replacements. Vesper

He's a class act. Even in his cameo today, his speed of thought and precise execution of passes is far clear of a lot of the players. Can't remember if it was linked here or I saw it elsewhere but worth a watch. Depending on how Barca do with working out their issues, we should investigate taking Raphinha on loan for a season. Surely the wont want to pay him just to play Champions League. Ditto Lewa maybe. Would give us a year to workout permanent attacking solutions. Pizy 18,994
We appear to be in the same sort of position in regards to De Jong as United are. We’re interested just like they are but unless De Jong says he wants to leave it’s a moot point. And he’s reportedly desperate to stay. Would be nice if we’re trying to convince him, though, in case he does decide to go. bigbluewillie and Vesper

I think his agent is playing the long game and de Jong is doing exactly what his agent says… keep saying you love it at Barca and you have no desire to leave. If Frankie jumped at the chance to leave, nobody is going to pay his Barca wages. The closer it gets to the end of the window, a big club might decide to pay. Nero 1,877
CHO's career has really stagnated over last few years. Remember when he was under Sarri a big talent? And now 4 years later he's still a "big talent". Time for change Edited August 6, 2022 by Nero mkh

I don’t think so , tuchel he is very upset about our midfield he knows that we need quality players for cm position, so we are spending 85m£ for fofana and 80m€ for de jong if we want to finish 3-4 in Pl table . The midfield options are loaded - Carney didn't make the bench vs Everton Jorginho Kante Kovacic Gallagher RLC Carney with Barkley, Gilmour also around. Special Juan 28,186
Need to get CHO out and as part of this Fofana deal. Not a loan just shake hands and send him packing, he's not good enough. Vesper, bohops and bigbluewillie
