Nkunku was going to be such a blessing and was the best thing to happen for Mudryk. Takes the pressure right off of him and allowed us to continue to be patient with him.

If it’s true that he’s out long term that pressure and scoring/assisting burned returns. He’ll have to be at his sharpest right away to pick up the slack.

Chelsea are ready to make a new offer for Vlahovic: Lukaku + €30M.

Deal is edging closer🙉

slowly coming to terms with signing a other CF just bc Nkunku is so injury prone and NJ has afcon. Still not convinced Morata 2.0 is the right option tho

He's a bang average player destined to flop in the premier league, but aside that it should be seen as a massive red flag Juventus are so desperate to offload him infavour of Lukaku.

Probably accurate. He looks ordinary technically. But many great strikers were average footballers. Esp German strikers like Klose, the two Müllers, Klinsmann, Völler. Not even starting with level below like Bierhoff, Gomez, Kirsten, Rummenigge. Now the best german CF is a guy named Füllkrug who made his topflight debut in his mid 20ies and is little more than a battering ram with a wicked shot. A CF who knows where the goal is and how to use his body does not need to be a great footballer. The mere presence, goal instinct, aerial ability and movement can create enough danger for our play to have an extra dimension. Havertz is arguably a more accomplished footballer than most traditional no.9. Yet his inability to convert easy chances renders him completely useless in this position. The problem here is not even buying a so-so CF. But again doing so for huge money on huge wages inviting all the pressure. This makes him a flop already in most ppls eyes. I argue that if we found a nice old-fashioned big striker with some experience, aerial ability, a bit of pace and a good attitude who just finishes the easy chances and otherwise does what ever the manager asks of him we would be fine. The problem is this striker already costs 70m+ if the club that is asking is Chelsea. Striker market is just insanely weak. But surely there should be a better value deal than Vlahovic out there.
