This is too rich for my liking. He is a good player but this sort of fee should get you a VVD not a kid who was out almost all of last season with a broken leg.

they will matter if FFP comes roaring back

Plus if a player turns out not good enough they will be impossible to shift if they've cost too much money and are on too high wages.

It's not our money but as fans we should care how it's spent because it will significantly affect future transfer dealings. A few costly flops might easily mean there won't be enough money to fix the problems with other new signings, thus spiraling into mediocrity and not challenging for the big trophies.

Its so sad we didnt get him. He is great player and our offence would be already set up :( Im so mad about that

absolutely

same for Dembele (to a degree) and also Tchou! (especially last year, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr) 🤬

I accept we were not going to make a move for Osimhen this summer

but so stupid we did not go for Hugo Ekitiké, he is totally the type of player we should be making a move for

these games today are showing why I freak out about height with fullbacks and CBs

the dwarf Kyle Walker-Peters (and he is a cm taller than Cucurella) was just ROASTED in air by the hardly giant (but not a dwarf) Sessegnon

Tbf, that goal was a lot to do with positioning and not being strong enough, same with TAA's. Tbh, if you're short you have to shit house like Dave or Cannavaro and make contact as the player goes up and ensure that you don't get caught ball watching/directly underneath the ball. Not saying short CB's aren't an issue, they are. But those two goals were poor defending more than anything else; although tbf, the Klua ball in for Spuds was excellent.

Considering what happened to Koulibaly and Silva in this match, its no wonder why we need to go in for a 2nd quality CB this window.

At their age, coupled with the loss of Colwill, we could face big problems without adequate replacements.

I'm sure in time Cucurella will win you over. He's a class act. Even in his cameo today, his speed of thought and precise execution of passes is far clear of a lot of the players.

It was an interesting interview. Can't remember if it was linked here or I saw it elsewhere but worth a watch.

Depending on how Barca do with working out their issues, we should investigate taking Raphinha on loan for a season. Surely the wont want to pay him just to play Champions League. Ditto Lewa maybe. Would give us a year to workout permanent attacking solutions.
