It does however commit Barca to throwing the little bit of money they have at a player and could change how others feel about going to Barca. Right now Barca has some serious talent just waiting to see if they will get a deal. This could free up some talent.

Incompetence of offering a player a contract and waiting for an answer? After agreeing a fee with the club? Wtf do you want us to do pin him down and say make a decision now. Raphinha is well within his right to wait and see it's his career not ours.

If this was some tier 5 nobodies maybe. This was the best of the best, most reliable English journalists reporting that we’ve bid and that personal terms wouldn’t likely be an issue. And that he would be keen on the move.

And I doubt we would be bidding for Raphinha if there wasn’t any interest from his side either, clubs generally know if someone is interested in the move or not. But sometimes some deals just takes a little more persuasion than others.

Genuinely concerning that there is a lot of overreacting over Raphinha, who is a pretty good player but again, you’d think he was Mbappe or Haaland based on the reaction that he is going to Barcelona now.

Reactions are justified when for weeks all we've had to read for was Linked with, interested in, inquiring, progressing, etc,etc and the one deal that managed to appear over the line has now fallen through.
