This is proof that FFP is absolute bs and that we have no advantage when it comes to net spend. Teams like PSG and City can still spend a lot without any consequences. The fact that Ligue 1 had issues with TV deal money, and all the clubs are in crisis is a joke. Not only that but PSG didn't even win Ligue 1 and bottled the CL as well, yet they still have the money to splash 80m on a RWB.

 

It was not £80m, just to be fair (as most of us use pounds sterling for fees and wages (I personally try to put in both if euros are the primary article quotes)

Paris trumps London for many (Hakimi speaks French too) especially many WAGS who are not English

They have bigger stars than us (or will for sure as they are loading up and especially we miss out on Håland and they keep Mbappe, and I am sure they also make a move for Håland next summer if he is available)

huge salary (probably bigger than what we offered)

our stadium sucks, they are dropping hundreds of millions on renovations (and sometime down perhaps they buld a brand new one, althoigh that is not for years, likely after he is gone I might think)

he probably favours PSG's style of play over our more pragmatic one as well

since roman arrived, just Barcelona and Real Madrid won more UCL than us. We won 2 times just like Liverpool and Bayern (!!!) and reach 3 times the final. we are o the top of the tops and hurt to see the players prefer others teams 😕

Not a single player in world football gives a toss about what our stadium is like. Zero.

Might some players be attracted by the prospect of being able to play at Anfield or the Bernabeu etc? Definitely. Will a player decide not to come to Chelsea because our stadium sucks (which it doesn’t, btw)? Hell no.

A French speaking player choosing PSG over us shouldn’t be anything to slaughter our club for. He goes to a glamorous French city, will probably make double in wages than we’ve offered, and gets to basically sleepwalk to the title next season with minimal fuss. You can see why that would be attractive.

That is outrageous, no way would UEFA/A club get away with that in Europe.

Is he though? Di Marzio is basically the most reliable journo for Italian football, he had a huge connections at there. Even reliable Inter journo also reporting Hakimi to PSG.
