Here's the tricky thing, how many of us thought the same with Werner last year?

Are we sure that Silva will be a guaranteed success? Because I could also point out Werner's numbers over the last few years.

I knew someone would throw the Werner comparison in or Luka Jovic but they’re all different players

Silvs is more of a proper number 9 than Werner. Hes also had the big move that didn’t work out at Milan (like Jovic at Real) and by sounds of it has rebuilt his career very well. Much more of a lowkey signing but wouldn’t say he’s a massive risk, 42 goals in 68 games in Germany and Spain for teams that werent the top top teams either in Frankfurt and Seville also is impressive all things considering. Werner’s goals came in a team everyones expected to be up the top end and fighting for CL, Frankfurt are well Frankfurt some seasons they do well and overachieve some they dont do well.

I think someone else will get him in all fairness, (Dortmund maybe if they sell Haaland? Just seems their style of buy). I don’t think we are bold enough to move for him, or that after the Werner situation that we will be in a hurry to sign another attacker from Germany anytime soon.

I do think whoever signs him and if for a fee of that or less, may have stumbled onto a very good deal. He reminds me of Morata slightly but a bit different, bit more physical a bit stronger, good in the air, good finisher and links up well.

Merely asking questions because there's also someone like Wout Weghorst scoring goals in the Bundesliga for Wolfsburg but has not been linked to any big side.

Name sounds familiar, sure there was talk of Arsenal looking at him last summer but whether it was just talk or not nothing materialised.

I suppose it is a risk but I like what I have seen from Andre Silva. I think for the right club he would be a bargain, he looks like hes going to continue to get better unfortunately it will probably be the likes of a Dortmund who sign him as he suits their model it they lose Haaland or an Atletico maybe.

Lukaku is finally at a club where he’s respected and adored by the fans and the manager. Inter winning their first title in ages and are pretty ambitious. Not sure if he’d even want to leave, never mind the fact that he’d probably cost way more than he’s worth. I’d have him back of course but not for £100m or whatever.

If we pull off the miracle and win the CL I think we may be able to pull a Hazard and convince Haaland.

Kane is 100% impossible.

Linked with Varane and also Kounde from Sevilla again.

I would assume we will lose Zouma and Tomori this summer then as talks are Silva will be staying as we have a 1 year extension.

We need a left footed CB though, not chasing Laporte a few seasons back was a huge error I think its crazy City have got both Dias and Laporte who are two of the best CBs in Europe and they dont even pair them up a lot. How he doesnt play for France is even crazier. Much better than Umtiti, although Umtiti is a good CB also but has regressed.

If we go to a back 4 then we will be selling for sure Tomori and a CB. You probably need 4 CBs in the squad for a back 4, so Silva, Rudi, Christensen (selling would be a mistake now I think Tuchel has put huge faith in him and hes clearly delivered) and then one of Varane/Kounde/Sule? Plus the we have Azpi who can do the role even in a 4 as he did for Spain as LCB with Lopetegui if needed as well as obviously back up at LB and playing RB.

Whoever it is must be dominant in the air as we lack height and prominent ability to attack the ball bar Rudiger and Zouma, although Silva and Christensen are capable but not as dominant in that regard.

40-50m for Varane would be a steal.

Kounde would be a terrible idea . He would get eaten alive in premier legue. We are already a short side. We can’t play another shortie in the one position we have tall players for.
varane and Apple both would be fine but if I gotta pick I’d probably go for varane he is prolly more consistent and does not come off a huge injury .

WW is basically the Dutch Tammy Abraham. Very similar, maybe a bit more in control of his body and better header but not as dynamic.
andre Silva is a Good shout but he is a gamble. He appears to be one of those sensible strikers who are affected by their environment a lot. I’d rather have  beast like Diego Costa who just does not give a damn not a nice guy who has to be pampered like timo, Kai or Torres again.

Starting to get to transfer season. I think we will try and shift a lot of players this Summer but I think we need to be realistic about what category each fall into and who we can actually keep if a decent offer comes in. Here is my 2p take:

Players that will/can be sold, but would be handy squad players:

Tammy - £40m (approx.)

Tomori - £25m

Zouma - £30m

First team players who may be sold if good offers come in:

Jorgi - £30m+ - see him being sold as the mix of Kante/Kova/Jorgi doesn't work over the course of a PL season. Personally, I am ok with Jorgi but see him being sold if anything over £30m is tabled.

Ziyech - £35m - Probably the most controversial suggestion I will make. However, I think he doesn't really suit the PL and our mix of AM's are too similar. Can see him being sold if we get virtually our money back.

Free transfers

Giroud - Personally I would want him on a year extension but I doubt he will sign.

Willy - Can see us getting another GK and cannot see Kepa going anywhere.

Players who will Bogarde us or we have to pay most/some of their wages for a loan:

Batsh*t

Baka

Drinky

Baba

Kepa (probably stays)

Barkley

RLC

Zappa

Loaned with a fee

Gallagher

Guehi (can see him of Ampadu as squad player)

Amapdu (he or Guehi will be squad player next season)

Billy

Emerson

Sarr

Players with buy clause that could be activated due to team performance:

Moses - £6m - If Spartak qualify for a CL place this kicks in. 50/50 atm.

Tammy and Zouma are useful squad players, so id keep them, but I'd like to see all of the others in that list moved on

Giroud has done well for us, but we need another younger striker.

Jorginho is not a bad player by any means, but the current three midfielders are not and never will be a good fit together, so out of that three I'd move him on.

The problem I think will happen with those two players is that a) they'll want to be somewhere they will start, b) if we do get what everyone wants; a CF, CM and LCB, they'll start even less and c) to fund b, you've got to sell them as the others on the list are deadwood (read; no one else is going to pay a fee/their wages) or they're hard sells and need particular types of teams that want them (Jorgi/Ziyech.)

First sell now buy .

This looking so stupid . And if he flop again 😂

I really cannot see Lukaku back here. Doesn't fit in with TT's style of play at all.
