When we think about it, it's really stupid that we didn't make a keeper signing much earlier in the window. We kept focusing on signing attacking players when the keeper problem was arguably bigger than anything else. Have started the season and we've still got the same keepers and it nearly cost us on Monday. Could easily happen again on Sunday.

Yeh, it’s so true. Look now Rennes is toying with us and we can’t even blame them because every team would do the same. However I still think Mendy’s signing is just a matter of time though.

So is the £26m price tag still on Emerson?

Wouldnt that be more than half of Rice cost? Assuming the Guestimate of £45m is right an d not the silly Pikeys valuation..

Absolutely zero chance Rice goes for £45m. Less than zero.

Hope West Ham get relegated, so we can get Rice for 40 million pounds. Still do not think he is better than Zakaria, but Lampard is a Chilwell and Rice groupie, so I expect Rice still to happen in the future. I just hope not this season, because right now, he seems really lost as a player

I just read that West Ham put a 73M pound valuation on him. I don't know how accurate that is? It is an article in The Express article with no direct quote.

Would 40m euros buy Zakaria?

Uo above it says £80m, which is the figure for ages. 73m pounds sound like a lazy reporter just converting a misquote by a non Brit of 80m euros.

That last bit based on his one game against Newcastle? He looked good just over a month ago at the end of last season, I wouldn't put much consideration in one game after a really shortened pre-season.

Or if you're judging Rice to be 'lost as a player' on just one bad game, you must already be shitting your pants over Havertz too because he was not good on opening weekend either. Or is it one agenda on a German player and another for an English one? ;)

It is based on his performance for England and Newcastle. So two bad matches in a row. Let us see if his next match gets any better, but I am against buying players that are not in form.

Havertz was bad, but not Rice bad. Rice individual highlights in both matches were bad, especially against Newcastle.

Usually, I do not rate German players either, but Havertz is one of the few German players I really liked over the past couple of months.

Havertz was NOT bad. First game no preseason and played out of position, which imo was a good shout. Lampard kept him out if the meat grinder and introduced him to the Premier leagues pace and physicality spot on imo. You could tell he didn't no the system, or the players. What did he have 1 week to train and not even with the full squad.

And if that doesn’t work they can still hang crosses in the air or wait for corners. That’s worse than the occasional but unpredictable howler cos it gives every opponent an avenue to the scoreboard

true that is worse, problem is we have both them problems every game. Long shot = goes in, miss, deflection corner, corner = kepa flapping about like a chicken trying to fly

Without shirt number:

Sarr

Bakayoko

Van Ginkel

Zappacosta

Baba

Victor Moses

Drinkwater

Lewis Baker

Clarke-Salter

Charly Musonda

Piazon

Connor Gallagher

+ propably (with shirt number)

Emerson

on of CB (Tomori)

and maybe one of Jorginho. Barkley (though after Brighton game I doubt that if we wont sign Rice)

So it's only 15 :D I am not counting younger guys who could benefit from loan

Piazon is already on loan. Miazga should be on list just like Sterling and they will never be Chelsea quality. And we still need to move some younger guys like Mbuyamba, Castillo...
