When you are playing from the back you have to have a GK that can deal tough situations like that. If Jorginho made that pass to any GK with decent comfortability on the ball it would have been none situation.

The pass was way too fkin short. A goalie with less ground speed than mendy would not have even reached that pass and it would have been entirely on Jorginho
