I'm blinded by compassion. He has a good game for every 20 shockers. Somehow I'd convinced myself he was decent. I'm not sure how. I'd be a brilliant hypotherapist.

Respect for admitting you were wrong! Never liked Mikel. Only ever passes sideways or backwards, and is useless to poor at picking up runs. Got to go.

I went to a hypnotherapist once to stop smoking... guy was worse than Mikel .. I only stopped longer enough to save the money Id paid him

Makes me nervous just thinking Matic isn't available for Champions League selection and we have this guy to kinda replace him. No more FA Cup and COC so I hope Jose will go for a Luiz-Ramires-Oscar midfield in this Champions League campaign

Did we not win the Champions league and Europa league with Mikel in the team? Why all this sudden hatred for him. Looks like Mikel is the new Kalou.

Matic has came here and already kicked Mikel out and shown us what a real centre midfielder is, Mikel was in the background for a reason, not because he was supposedly doing all the secretly hard work no one else could do. Ya'll know that work that our simple minds can't comprehend because Mikel is secretly bastian schweinstiger and no one understands his role ahhhh yeh.

I always said he was a poor player. But somehow the whole forum (including you) used to say he was important because his role was special...(?!). I always said Luiz was a better option than Mikel.

Now, somehow, a lot of people are "losing patience". I dont see any problem in saying Mikel is not Chelsea material, I see problem when people change their minds in a matter of games. I see those things happening all the time at TC. When Ramires signed he was poor for the entire season when Ancelotti was the manager, but everyone said he was good, next 11/12 he was our most consistent player, he has been consistent for the past seasons, his passing skills have been the same, but now, somehow people decided those flaws are not acceptable for a Chelsea player.

Mikel has been playing like that since he signed for Chelsea, but now Alex, who wrote an article seasons ago saying Mikel was our midfield maestro, lost his patience after a defeat. You lost your patience.

The same will happen with Matic. Now he is considered the best DM since Makelele, after some seasons, he will get the blame for some defeats, people will notice his weaknesses, people will forget his good games.

Something really odd is happening with TC forum members. Seasons ago people were happy to lose, happy to finish in 2nd or 3rd position, now the word is: finish 2nd, and you are a loser. Oh, well...

I remember you being one of the few who didn't like Mikel and like myself posted that Luiz would be the ideal midfielder in the pivot. A far better option than Mikel could ever be.

I was criticized by many and now look. I even remember Peace for mocking me that I even suggested Luiz was a better option than Mikel.

But

Ramires is a different case to Mikel. Mikel has never done anything good for us whatsoever. Rami has. Though wether he has done enough to justify a place in our starting line up ... I don't know but he is more than worthy of a place in our squad for the chip vs Barcelona alone. :-D

Everybody makes mistakes Henrique. Alex obviously thought Mikel was a decent player but how can he defend a claim he made maybe before he spotted that he is the biggest pile of shit at Chelsea.

Yes, Mikel played no part in us winning the CL, he wasn't one of our best players in the final and semis, played no part in us winning the FA cup 4 times, wasn't a key player in us winning the league in 09-10 :lol:
