Is it just me or have our players gotten more injury prone lately? If so, anyone have an idea why?

It's probably more to do with playing alot of games and not having enough rotation options to give the players a breather every now and then...and it doesn't help when you sign injury prone players like Pulisic, Fofana...

Yep it's 6-12 months out for Broja.

Terrible timing too. Aubameyang has been shit and there was nothing stopping him from claiming a bigger role in the second half of the season.

Just can't seem to catch a break with these fucking injuries.

This was the season for him to really stake a claim. I hope it's just a blip for him & he'll be able to bounce back for next season or 2024.

On your last point, there has to be more to these injuries than meets the eye. Have any changes been made since Boehly took over?

Chelsea’s Armando Broja out for season after suffering knee injury

https://theathletic.com/3997935/2022/12/13/Chelsea-armando-broja-injury/

Chelsea forward Armando Broja has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to an ACL injury.

Broje, 21, was taken off the field on a stretcher during Chelsea’s friendly against Aston Villa on Sunday.

The Albanian striker went down 19 minutes into the match in Abu Dhabi as he attempted to chase down the ball and collided with Ezri Konsa. He was in visible discomfort and was eventually substituted after a prolonged stoppage in play.

A lengthy period of absence for Broja is concerning news for Potter because it leaves the club with Kai Havertz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the only options in the No 9 role.

Broja has made 18 appearances for Chelsea this season across all competitions, managing a single goal and an assist. He has primarily been limited to a squad role, however, having only started two games in the Premier League.

He had been close to leaving the club this summer, having spent last season on loan at Southampton, but though he was linked with a move to West Ham United, he ultimately elected to remain at Stamford Bridge. He then signed a six-year contract extension with the west London club in September.Chelsea return to Premier League action when they face Bournemouth on December 27.

Shame. Hasn't been a good year at all for him.

As much as it was a freak incident, much needs to be said about our players recklessly going into challenges with their front leg lunged in. That is now Broja, Fofana and James out with knee injuries because of such.

I’m done watching football for the next 2 years or so. Every player we sign turns to dogshit once they arrive. Every interesting young player gets sold for peanuts or get a career ruining injury. It’s just tiring
