I cant blame him for the result. The difference in quality is abysmal. Im more the concerned with the lack of organization, both defending and going forward.

Im convinced Wolves and Leicester would put a better performance against Bayern at home than we did today.

Wolves def....they have a very tactically sound manager. Tactically we could be better tonight but it is what it is. Why was Poch there anyone know? He wants that Bayern job or?

I hope the board make the right decision at the end of the season...

Third time he makes the same mistake. After winning a game with the back 3 which was specifically for that one game, he continues with it into the next game.....

Game against Bayern hasn't started but to me this is a big mistake, again to do the same mistake a third time

He just don't learn......

We could get lucky and get a win, but with Alonso there against Bayern...I don't like this!

The record now reads...

W 5-2 Wolves
L 0-1 Valencia

W 2-0 Spurs
L 0-2 Southampton

W 2-1 Spurs
L 0-3 Bayern

Would rather have present day David Beckham on our wing.

Dont see what the problem would be with Simone or even Frank taking a leaf from his book in these bigger games. His approach in these sort of games isnt necessarily the worst thing.

We have injury problems, we don't have the players to play an attacking game and yet we set up trying to take Bayern head on...a little pragmatism wouldn't have hurt.

Simeone has had a big chance to claim or atleast seriously challenge for a good few titles with Real/Barca flaking by their standards these last few years and he hasn't took it.

Rafa Benitez who is widely mocked and hated here managed to take advantage of a Real/Barca lull/transition and claim two titles with Valencia yet Simeone has made an absolute pigs ear of similar openings.

Under Simeone we may have an outside chance of shithousing a CL but we would have no chance of a title in the league, and as soon as we realize that we will be back to exactly the same point we were 18 months ago and have to start again at a point we could have been out the other side had we held our nerve.

Reverting back to type now will mean we have absolutely wasted two seasons for no reason atall (the one thing we can hold onto right now is we are attempting to build something for the long run with the style and HG boys). Whether Lampard turns out to be good enough is actually irrelevant in the bigger picture, we must see this style/youth transition through now no matter how hard the growing pains are, which means if Lampard goes, another attacking manager comes in, said exactly the same re Sarri too.

Actually good points regarding his performances in particular the last few seasons, although they've still severely overachieved throughout his time there.

I feel his system and style suits knockout football more and against smaller teams they can sometimes find themselves struggling to take the initiative with the ball although theyve still improved compared to where they were beforehand too at the beginning under him.

I think Atletico will be lucky to ever win another Liga in the next 5-10 years regardless of manager and their styles because Barca and Real can just get away with slow starts by pasting everyone from a certain point onwards, lets be honest when you have/had Messi or Ronaldo you can always catch the difference. Plus theyre always gonna recruit the top level of players compared to them, the Pogbas, Griezmanns, Suarez, de Jongs, Coutinhos whoevers going and have top ready made players/generation talents compared with Atletico maybe bar the odd one having.to go for more further afield options or players they wouldnt take.

Still think Simone regardless of the style has built a team that never seem to know when their beat in the big games, their attitude and application is fantastic. Theyve only lost 40 odd games in the league in his whole time there too which is very impressive considering hes been there 8 or 9 seasons.

I just get the feeling he would be successful here too.

Precisely. Thought going with 3/5 at the back would of been an appropriate enough start but boy was I wrong 😂 suppose we will probably get our annual humilation by Bournemouth now too.

Guessing you don't post there? Let me guess you got a dressing down and a deserved ban for trying to turn that place into fighting cock mark 2 (ie you must slag the club off like your a Spurs fan).

You can spin it whatever way you like but the fact is we have brought in many man young and inexperienced lads to the squad this season who will need time before their mentally ready for the pressure to win every week. Add that to the fact they have no world class players to feed off bar maybe Kova on current form and the fact you're holding them to the same expectations as you would the old guard in their prime (or atleast implying it) is not just unrealistic, it's dispicable. If you're actually telling the truth that you've been following the club since the 70s then quite frankly that makes your behaviour and lack of patience for a team who lost their game changer without the chance to replace him and bringing the best part of a dozen young lads into the fold and given them significant minutes one million times worse.

Fans like you are the reason we have a reputation as plastic glory hunters, because you want it all and you want it now and when you don't get it you act like a brat and spit your dummy out, like one of these "yummy mummys" who want a real life doll but don't want to deal with the growing pains or the piss and shit that comes with it. I genuinely hope you have no impact in a young person's life, because with your "you can't develop and must be perfect immediately" dictatorial attitude they will almost certainly develop serious mental health issues largely if not solely down to you.

People like you represent everything that's wrong with not only football fans but this country, let me guess, you're a keen pro Boris and Brexit fan?

I'm pretty pissed i actually went to the game some of us do I'm skimming this my polItics are RMT rep since 1992 and a Labour party member since 1984 at the height of the miners strike. I'm a shed boy of nearly 50 years you follow Chelsea on the internet that's all you've never been to the bridge if you have it's on your own sitting on your own changing the names on the programme because that just wouldn't do. Post your Chelsea history mate and then I'll post mine and we'll then we'll see who is plastic Argo.

And like keep saying, that makes it 1 million times worse that you won't offer any understanding or leeway towards a team who lose their game changer (not to mention losing a world class keeper the year before and Kante declining before our eyes) and rebuild with young players.

You've seen us in our very very worst ebb yet you can't offer even a little bit of leeway and patience to top homegrown Chelsea boys playing their first season in a major league? I know a few old timers aswell and because of seeing those times some have a massive sense of perspective, one even now sees anything above 40 points as a bonus.

Ah that old chestnut, Rory Jennings is that you?

I don't attend every single game purely because of the fact it's not financially viable with everything else in my life (family and freinds scattered round the world alongside my job requiring a lot of travelling meaning a lot of my funds go on flights alone) however I will always be up to watch a match when I'm away unless it's work hours and then if that's the case I watch the match back in full on the all. I was in Australia for a fair chunk of Conte's second season and i stayed all night up to watch games despite 12 hour shifts the next day. I however have a membership and every single game I'll be able to attend I'm up at seven o clock on the dot going through the excruciating VWR using my phone, laptop and tablet to give me the best chance of getting through (especially early in the season when it's a lot harder, I even accept restricted view when it's that or nothing).

The last game I went to was Burnley last month, if you did the same you would if you take the tube know there were delays on Fulham Broadway which meant we were redirected to Earls Court. I would go to every game if I could but unfortunately when I'm in places like Sydney earning the money to return to The Bridge I can't get the time off to fly there and back, sorry!
