Um...you may piss off Belgium fans here with that comment...

EDIT: I mean, is that comment even necessary?

Well I felt that you equated Belgian market audience with South Korea's or American, which is why I felt I had to correct you.

Him being whole life in USA probably means whole world is used to American poo-li-sik. But original it should be: poo-li-shich (like Mateo Ko-va-chich). Don't know which one he prefers.

EDIT: They even officially removed Š and Ć from surname, don't know was it him or his parents. So taking that into account, he is Pulisic, therefore American butchered version is used I guess. :(

Yeah I noticed Š and Ć were removed from the name. How does it sound to you as native speaker? That must be super weird. Do you know other people having this sound -sik?

wow just read the news on the Chelsea official website, tbh im surprised we pulled this off so quickly, maybe our board is not that imcopetent, how much did we pay for him?

All i can say is welcome to Chelsea Football Club Pulisic, see you next season. I hope to see him shine for us soon, this is clearly a long term deal and he's still 20 years old, still a lot more room for improvement, but already a talented young player. Cheers

I am sceptical about that. I think that 60-millions offer from Barca was once in a lifetime chance. Who would give that kind of money for a 30-yo, after this season in which he would score what, 5 goals?

There was no chance Barca would pay 60 mil for Willian. You need to stop blindly believing the media.

Dortmund wanted rid & we dealt with their demands to save some money. Not that surprising tbh

Totally understand why they did that tho. Makes life a lot easier in the USA, by not having to deal with letters with accents. ;)

welcome to the club!!! Great to have promising youngsters in the squad. What they do an how much they play is entirely up to them. And a very good problem for the manager.

They made multiple offers, the second to last one was £60m, the last one was £65m as confirmed (with the date of the offer given as July 20th). These were confirmed by multiple reputable reporters such as Matt Law and Tom Farmery, who are hardly rumour mongers.

Go back and look at this board history on here regarding the entire saga. You are trying to gaslight these events as somehow fake. The fact is the board fucked up yet again. You have to take into account Barca's winger situation at the time, as Dembele was deemed a bust, or near bust (madness as I said at the time) and they were feeling the pinch. Willian had been ripped by many of the Brasilian insiders to be the darkhorse star of the Seleção at the WC, and he was one of the few who played oki.

Also when we rejected that final offer, Barca immediately went out and grabbed Malcom on the cheap.

There is zero chance the Barca Willian storyline was conjured up out of thin air. For all his faults he did have a really good (press-wise) run here for years. You act like him costing £70m or so LESS than Demebele (with add-ons) is an impossibility. Napoli is demanding 150m euros for Koulibaly this coming summer and he will be only one year younger than Willian was this past summer and is CB! Remember, Luiz held the world record for CB's for several years at £50m, until Van Dijk smashed it.

A player like Pulisic always had marketing potential because it allows NBC to build their coverage of the Premier League around him rather than someone like Tim Ream.

While that is welcome,  I hope this is not a signing made from the marketing point of view and that he has been signed because Sarri likes his style of play.

Dortmunf are creaming themselves with how stupid we were to take off their deadwood and even oay 65m for it. But even if he is just average the amis will  all buy his shirt and fund this transfer. Disappointed he got loaned back tho. Really got fucked by their  negotiators.

Willian now injured and Hazard currently are only natural winger fit. The injuries are piling up. Forest, Spurs coming up in the cup before we play Newcastle in the league. We could actually really do with him now.

Very Hazardesque

Hahaha...glad I'm not the only one who noticed.

His dribbling style does remind me of Hazard,...more like Hazard playing at a slower pace (not even kidding). Young Hazard was just electric.

Still, hoping for the best. Hopefully Sarri's football would have taken root by the time he gets here.
