The club needs to start singing your favourite tune. Not only do we need to buy smart, but equally important, we need to sell smart too. Even without Kante against Newcastle Barkley started deeper. Now without three midfielders he must play. Also in pre season Lamps indicate he sees RLC in that role.Β He was struggling with minor injuries, got a knock on international duty and wasn't risked to start against relegation fodder.Β Before he had Kante ahead of him, doesn't mean Lampard doesn't rate Kova, just means he rates Kante more. Β I am sure Frank is loving his midfield options. OhForAGreavsie

Popular Post! Vytis33 1,272 Posted October 26, 2019 Popular Post! Share Posted October 26, 2019 Still think he's been outstanding this year.Β Doesn't do much that'll get in the box score as we say in the States but influences the game in a lot of other ways.Β With the ball at his feet he's as good as anyone we've got.Β He could actually stand to press the ball up the pitch more as talented as he is.Β And he's playing full matches now where last year it seemed like he was a 60 minute player.Β Glad we signed him. kellzfresh, Fernando, Stats and 8 others

Popular Post! Stats 7,142 Posted October 27, 2019 Popular Post! Share Posted October 27, 2019 I have always rated him and was quite vocal last season, about despite his shortfalls, he is a very talented player. Good to see him replicate that on a more consistent basis and get the credit he deserves. If you look in hindsight, just imagine we did not take that offer to buy him permanently. We would be in a lot of bother, as Kante has had several injury problems this season. It was a no-brainer. I was shocked that several fans were against us buying him, when we were under a transfer ban. But his showings last season were so inconsistent that we surely would not have signed him without the ban. Now it does look a masterstroke with all the injuries. 40m was an absolute steal given how young he still is. Even if he does not add another dimension to his game like producing output as a technical DM together with Jorginho they can control most games pretty much like the Modric-Kroos connection.Β Johnnyeye and Atomiswave

He done things well but was frustrating due to his lack of productivity in the final third. Johnnyeye

Because the market is so inflated and getting a player who is better than him would cost nearly double the price in this day and age of football. But, yes I think Lamps would have given the go ahead either way. Johnnyeye and LAM09

Atomiswave 6,117
I found him crap last season, he was way off thanks to tactics and motivation. Comparing this Kova to last season is gigantic. 40m? Thats a fucking steal imo.....Frank has totally ascended him and still not at his peak years either. Him and Jorgo has been a revelation so far under Lamps and with Kante back soon we can and will dominate any midfield. Vesper
