Pizy 18,952
So the entire reason we were punished in the first place was for signing underage players yet even with the ban upheld, we are allowed to continue signing 16 year old players but not senior ones. Fuck off, FIFA. Just fuck off. If we aren't granted a freeze like all the other clubs were, we are totally fucked next season.
Laylabelle 9,536
This seems like the longest drawn out process as well. Especially with how long the window is open for. Time this next appeal goes through and decision made prob be way to late. Cant see it I've turned just because. Next season is gana be such fun! Not. ChelseaFanUK 1,014
They were never going to overturn it in all likelihood, we were asking them to go back on their own ruling..... this now allows us to get to the CAS, as the main concern was whether FIFA would make a decision in time. CAS doesnt guarantee it being frozen, but our chances are much greater, provided we have a good case

I don't know how long these CAS appeals take, or how quick they can impose a freeze on the sanctions, etc. We are already closing in on the end of the season and the transfer window is short again this summer. Its impossible for us to commit to clubs and players with regards to buying at present. I just see it being a big problem to try and operate essentially all our transfer business for the next 2 seasons this summer if this appeal drags on longer than the next couple of weeks. We need as much time as possible to get this right, otherwise we might as well go into next season with what we've got (refresh the squad with some loan players coming back) and rebuild the following season. I am wondering what happens if you lodge an appeal with CAS, but they are unable to answer in time. Do they freeze it anyway until appeal heard? Strike 7,492
Even if the club is allowed to sign players this window, looks like it will be a short frame of time. Hope the club is prepared with its targets and will pay the necessary money if the chance comes. Superblue

nyikolajevics 2,702
We are supposed to have violated the rules 29 times and FIFA also punished FA for not making the rules clear. If we have all this to do this summer, the last thing the club needs too is managerial upheaval. If it's going to be two years with no movement apart from potential academy players breaking through, we're going to have to back Sarri with players that will suit him and what he is wanting to do. The development could also have direct consequences for FC Bayern Munich's recruiting efforts in Germany. https://www.spiegel.de/international/europe/football-leaks-how-british-football-signed-youth-talent-a-1262635.html
Vesper 30,224
BAN APPEAL FAILS, GOOD NEWS OR BAD NEWS FOR CHELSEA? https://chelsea.vitalfootball.co.uk/ban-appeal-fails-good-news-or-bad-news-for-chelsea/ As we expected, FIFA cocked a deaf-ear to our appeal relating to the recently imposed two-window transfer ban. Unless Chelsea can take the appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport and reverse the ban, it’ll not be until this time next year that Chelsea can become active in the transfer market again. However, those with ice-cold hearts at FIFA did allow Chelsea one small concession, the club are able to sign under-16 players during the ban but only those from the UK. But is the ban the end of the world or a blessing in disguise? You can argue for both cases! There’ll be no big-name signing, apart from the previously signed Christian Pulisic, during this period but it gives those players who are out on loan and those coming through the ranks to make their name. The side have shown this season they have the capability to have a good season and if the club can use the ban to develop that bond that makes top teams so special, I’m hopeful that the likes of Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount and Reece James can prove that, given the chance, the youth system can be as productive as we all hoped. But, and it’s a big but, could our plans for next season be scuppered if we allow Eden Hazard to jump ship? snip

Vesper 30,224
The Official FIFA Statement https://www.fifa.com/about-fifa/who-we-are/news/fifa-appeal-committee-passes-decision-on-appeal-lodged-by-chelsea-fc The FIFA Appeal Committee has decided to partially uphold the appeal lodged by Chelsea FC against the decision of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee to sanction the club with a ban on registering new players at both national and international level for the next two complete and consecutive registration periods. This ban applied to the club as a whole – with the exception of the women’s and futsal teams – and did not prevent the release of players. With respect to all men’s teams, the ban on registering new players, both nationally and internationally for two registration periods, has been confirmed by the FIFA Appeal Committee, with the following exception: The FIFA Appeal Committee believes that Chelsea’s wrongdoing consisted in not respecting the prohibition from internationally transferring or registering for the first time foreign minor players. In the committee´s opinion, imposing a ban on registering each and every minor would not be proportionate to the offence committed. Consequently, the FIFA Appeal Committee decided that, as far as youth categories are concerned, the ban shall not cover the registration of minor players under the age of 16 who do not fall under the scope of art. 19 of the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, which refers to international transfers and first registrations of foreign minor players. Additionally, the FIFA Appeal Committee confirmed the fine of CHF 600,000. The decision issued by the FIFA Appeal Committee was notified today.
