Laylabelle 9,754
Can't be bothered to watch that but ain't wrong though does seem we are in a crisis... Again! Lack of anything in the transfer window is worrying despite being obvious there's cracks and have been since summer

Popular Post! Pizy 19,374 Posted January 27, 2018 Popular Post! Share Posted January 27, 2018 Seems like everyone (the club, the fans, and Conte himself) are resigned to him going. Such a fucking shame and caused almost entirely by the club this time rather than the manager himself. For years and years Roman and the club hierarchy have desired a long term manager who can build something at Chelsea. We've finally got one who could've done that and they haven't ever backed him sufficiently. Now it's all going to start over in the summer. New manager who will probably have much different ideas on both playing style and personnel. More rebuilding and another reset while the clubs around us are all stable. Now seeing rumors about Luis Enrique being the guy. What a huge gamble that would be. A terrible choice, imo. Laylabelle 9,754
What is so frustrating is everytime this happens clubs and managers are looking for players to strengthen while we spend time finding a new manager. Who would want to take this role... They won't last long and get crap in the transfer window. Probably seen more as a stop gap job more then something long term DDA

Don't see any established, top class manager wanting to leave their club to jump into the Chelsea fire. Carlo, Tuchel, Luis Enrique. I doubt someone like Simeone will even consider leaving a club who are extremely stable like Atleti for us. Especially after seeing what we've done to Conte the season after he won us the league. Tuchel would be the best of the bunch I think but he's also a huge risk.

They are spot on regarding the 3-cb system and how much it relies on the form and especially fitness of the wingbacks. The striker situation is unacceptable for this club - really showcases the laughable managerial situation the club find itself in. BTW, Conte has said he's not involved in any of the transfers. So, was bakayoko an Emenalo player? Someone ought to look into that deal - at the very least conflict of interests considering Emenalo moved to monaco immediately after the deal was done. Yeah, incredibly risky too, only had 2 seasons where he was really successful and that was at Barcelona (won a treble and a double), took Celta to 9th the season before he went to Barca, had a poor stint at Roma years ago. Linked with Bayern as well, which if they offer him the job, I can't see him coming here - why would you. Watch we'll get some second rate manager in all probability. Or Carlo. Henrique 9,133
Conte's fate was sealed when he created Diego Costa's situation. He is no more than a okay one-trick manager at the end of the day. Blue-in-me-Veins and The Chels

Cosmin 2,484
1 hour ago, Mana said: So Conte should just roll over for Costa after him flirting with China and misbehaving. Seriously you are becoming one of the biggest trolls in TC. Even if he's a critic of Conte, I kind of agree with what he said. The relationship between Conte and the club started to deteriorate after that episode. However, I also agree that he was right. But this is how things seem to be working at this club. Cosmin 2,484
11 minutes ago, Mana said: The club backed Conte over Costa, so I don't think the relationship was starting to fall apart then. Conte also isn't a "okay one-trick manager". Apparently, the club backed Conte, but there were reports that Abramovich was not happy at all with the way he handled things. And yes, I agree with you. Antonio is a great great manager, but what I'm concerned about is his emotional involvement in the job. Can't see the same passion as last season. He's not jumping around anymore, not hugging the fans and so on. I think he gave too much last season and has now ran out of energy. Also, there seems to be a miscommunication between him and the club. You can just feel the tension. I'm afraid he also lost interest and he just want to finish the job as a professional. Can't see him here for the next season, evey if I wish that will happen. Fernando
Cosmin 2,484
6 minutes ago, Mana said: You should know why he stopped doing that after it has been said in this thread over and over again. The board isn't backing him on transfers, on top of poor performances from players, the media asking him annoying questions over and over... I mean we just got knocked out from the League Cup to fecking dinosaur Wenger while playing like shite in the 2nd half. I'm still pissed with that, even during the Newcastle game yesterday. I wasn't celebrating with passion during that game. And I expect Conte to feel the same, that's why he didn't jump around as well. This window is a shambles (for the 3rd time in a row) so far. No Aubameyang, Sanchez, we can't even get Dzeko of all people. Please, tell ME how Conte going to be happy with this. I do not understand why you're being so defensive about this. I am not criticizing Conte, I'm just stating the facts. His relationship with the club is broken and I think he will leave in the summer. I am not saying it's his fault. Because it's not. It's just how Chelsea FC seems to work.
Laylabelle 9,754
It's a bit worrying how often managers fall out with the board. Isn't the first time this has happened.

Technically if you agree with what Henrique has said, then you are criticising Conte. You agreed with him saying he is the one that started this mess. No. I only agreed with the fact that that was the moment when the mess started. I didn't blame Conte for it.
