The gap still is 4 points. Thats HUGE when there are only 6 games left. Spurs last 6 games are harder than ours, and its really hard to see them winning them all. No reason to panic. Is it really hard though? They are scoring goals for fun, and now that we´ve lost, their players will have more motivation to keep doing that. I'm not saying we'll lose the league, I´ll go mental if we do, but let´s not think everything is safe and the title is ours just yet. drog.ba 239
Think he needs to show more faith in RLC and Ake in the last games. Squad definitely needs more depth and quality come the summer, outside of Fabregas there's no one who changes things. Willian does nothing, why use him. + Without Alonso and Moses both as wing backs 343 doesn't really work, would switch to 4231 with either out for the rest of the season. Magic Lamps 11,692
Need some huge balls from Conte now. Maybe even a change in formation or at least starting personnell if Alonso does not get fit again? Big calls to make.Conte is a very good manager. The coming weeks will show if he is also the best. Beigl 1,387
To be honest he got out-coached by Mourinho today and couldn´t deliver answers in the second half. That being said he is still the best manager of the league by far.
Igi26 346
He tried and failed. It's not great but it's not a time to panic. United was the better team today. 4 points is a lot and if we win against Everton we are probably champions.

For me once even a single member of what is considered our starting XI is injured, then the 3-4-3 system has to be changed, at least until we seriously beef up the squad and buy some quality in the summer. Go back to a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3, ffs. 3-4-3 isn't do or die. Conte also had similar problems in the CL against pressing/high intensity opponents with Juve due to his over-insistence with the 3-5-2. I'm not advocating changing from a 3-4-3 permanently, I love the system and it's unique to us and him but right now, we're not deep enough ot good enough to always go down that route. I bet Sky is sucking his dick now, can't even bare to watch, the nauseating mess. He should be ashamed of himself for only being 6th with that squad. Conte has absolutely destroyed and dominated him this season.
11Drogba 2,000
Blind trust in the wrong person is a fatal mistake. I don't know how he thinks we can win the league with ten men on the pitch.
BlueLion. 21,491
Looking at the fixtures, we are still massive favourites. Next week is a massive opportunity to inflict serious psychological damage. We better fucking turn up as we've been shit in general against the top sides this season. nono 791
Well there's a lot of pressure on him now. Our downturn is coming at the worst possible time because Tottenham are comfortably putting teams away.
Special Juan 28,141
Spurs are putting teams away with ease because the opposition is very weak, and they should be. Watch that Bournemouth team from yesterday, they didn't even put up a fight.
Popular Post! MrExcalibur100 7,124 Posted April 16, 2017 Popular Post! Share Posted April 16, 2017 There's no pressure on Conte whatsoever. Success this season should have been a top 4 finish. We have the 4th best squad and are the worst team technically in the top 6. We finished 10th last season and our board failed him in the summer. The fact that we've been top since October and at certain moments, 10 points clear is insane. kellzfresh, FabHazard, killer1257 and 7 others

Even if Spurs pick up maximum points, I thoroughly expect us to beat those teams we're due to play, with the exception of Everton. That one might be a tricky one; I'd take a draw now if you offered it to me. But we'll more than likely win our home games and we're good enough to overcome WBA away from home. The time to panic is if we're second place. I'd rather be leading than chasing with just 18 points left to play for.

Sounds to me more like he's a bit rankled by the fact that this defeat was because of Mourinho more than anything...the way he keeps referring to the 'last season'. Didn't look like how he normally does on the touchline barking instructions. Both him and the squad need to forget about this game and get back into focus. Hope the upcoming FA cup semi final can do that
MrExcalibur100 7,124
According to him, Alonso was ill the night before the game. That must have thrown his entire game plan out of the window. I've said it a thousand times already today, but without a single piece in place in our 3-4-3, particularly a position as crucial as LWB, defensively and especially offensively, the system collapses and is officially useless. Hazard had at times, 2-3 bodies on him today with Herrera every time he recieved the ball. With Alonso's overlaps, that won't have happened. Or at least it won't have been anywhere as effective. He coould have played Nathan Ake,who played a lot of games as a LB in the PL,so there were good options, ubt Conte never gave Ake a fair chance. Kendrick 339
Poor, poor display by Conte today. Got it completley wrong. I know it's not ideal to lose a player just before kick off but every decision he made since then was amatur at best. Instead of replacing Alonso with Ake and that's it, he decided to move Azpi, get Zouma, then switch Azpi and Moses, then sub Moses and move Zouma to the right and Azpi back to the left. Seriously what the hell. Not to mention that he is ignoring for the past three months Costa's horrible form. 4 points gap and panic that's on his head.
