The Mourinho Thread

never!

btw, there is no way Jose is right on this one.

Say, if Wenger is indeed a quack, and some of his tactics may suggest that, then he is still a winner for having fooled a big club like Arsenal for all these years.

On the other hand, the most plausible explanation is that Wenger is really not that great in tactics and formations, but excels at building and developing players on the cheap, which makes him an asset for clubs interested in playing the transfer market as opposed to win silverware - still a guy with a fat paycheck.

Mourinho is right.. Wenger is a specialist in failure, well, for the last eight years he is anyway.

Look at Arsenals record before Wenger took over, it ain't great, he took over and changed it with some shrude business in the transfer market... Anelka, Petit, Vierra and Thierry Henry stand out for me as his best buys. He then built on this again with the occasional shrude deal... Them shrude deals are getting fewer and fewer, and his stubbornness in refusing to change his ways in the modern game is his downfall.

It is all about continuity, Fergie carried on his success and that is why he is the best manager to ever have managed in this country, if Wenger had continued his success he would be challenging Fergie for that title, bus as he hasn't won a trophy for 37 seasons now, he will be remembered in the same way Rafa the waiter will be, some great stuff and some shit stuff.

Seems like Wenger comments got to him, Jose wasn't even joking. Not really sure if Wenger struck a nerve.

Not too sure about that. Mourinho already doesn't look too happy or normal when he entered the press conference anyway and he was 15 minutes late too.

full pc available???

See post above.

You are right from an external point of view. We just don't have the information though.

In any corporation, success is only defined by the requirements, by what was expected of him to begin with, and we don't know what was expected of him. Perhaps the club has been telling him, 'no' every time he asks for anything, but they need him for the job they wanted done, which is to keep on producing and selling players - making money in the process.

To your point though, Wenger's lack of ambition over so many years would indeed showcase his limitations as a manager; a top manager would never remain working under such conditions for long - Jose wouldn't.

His lack of intelligence for starters (painful enough dealing with Luiz and Torres) then there's the limited technical ability issue which makes simple task such as controlling the ball and executing a simple 5 yard pass an mission impossible for him especially when he's off form like he's been for a long time. Also his knack for committing silly fouls and in dangerous positions. We can do much much better than him.

I see what you mean, but only in comparison with our genius midfielders (Hazard / Willian). He is not in the team for the same purpose as they are. He is still fairly young and can improve, people treat him like one of the old, experienced players in the team.

Ramires has been pretty poor in recent weeks. Giving the ball away at crucial moments going forward. Shooting when he should be passing. Passing when he should be shooting. He is playing with half of a his potential at the minute and it's sad to see.

I had other replies to my post similar to yours. Don't get me wrong he isn't in good form, but form fluctuates . If every time a player went out of form and we slagged them off (to the point that some say he should be sold) then we wouldn't have a team. Yes he needs to do better! BUT that's only because we all know of the effect he can bring to the team on his day.

Have to say, while Mourinho is right with everything he said about Wenger being a failure for his lack of success in the past 8 years, it feels as though he has taken the bait from Wenger in responding so much to him which is almost like Pellegrini responding to Mourinho's taunt/comments recently. Wenger probably knew Mourinho will be annoyed by this and thus tried to riled him up and he perhaps got it, especially when Mourinho has looked pissed when talking about it yesterday (though he already didn't look too happy when he arrived for his press conference).

Which is awesome (imo), Mourinho will now be on a mission. He will try to win the EPL like it is his last trophy!
