If we get a clean sheet tomorrow, we'll have BPL's best defense (only 20 goals conceded in 23 games). If we concede one, we'll have joint best defense with Arsenal. The Mourinho effect: first making sure our business is solid at the back

And if we win tomorrow (adding 1 or 2 to our goal deficit) we'll hop over Arsenal to second place after Man City. Should City lose, we'll even go top of the league.

Premier League: Jose Mourinho wants Manchester City to win at Tottenham

A City win will keep them a point clear of Chelsea - as long as Mourinho's side defeat West Ham at Stamford Bridge - but it will leave Spurs further off the pace in the race for a top-four finish and a Champions League spot.

"I prefer them to win, because if they win and if we win, we open a gap to

Tottenham," said Mourinho, whose side will face City on February 3.

"If we have a gap of 10 to Tottenham, 12 to United, you have a safe spot in the Champions League.

Mikel instead of Lampard/Matic despite knowing their team got no intention of ever trying to cross the half way line. Should of played Luiz/Lampard instead of Mikel. And games like today show why we need a top class striker like Costa/Rooney.

Basically the team that started against Stoke should have played today. That's our strongest line-up IMO. It's also the line-up that increases our attacking quality. Don't know what he thinks sometimes. Maybe that champagne is still having its intoxicating effect.

No idea why Mikel and Ivanovic started, we needed Azpi and Cole at fb today to help break down the opponent. Also an ideal game for Lampard who has a phenomenal record against West Ham.

Exactly what I was thinking especially regarding us using this sort of line up against City instead. It should be interesting to see how we do line up against City though.
