DanishBlue 426
I just hope that people won't get too disappointed if we don't win anything in his first year here. All of us have great expectations but it must be hard for Jose to live up to these expectations right away. bloody

Popular Post! nullabletype 987 Posted June 4, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted June 4, 2013 Saying things and doing things are very different things. And Mourinho loves to sprout out what people want to hear, no matter how much rubbish it turns out to be.I've read quite a number of your posts, and honestly, you come across as an out and out contrarian. I get the feeling you don't want to enjoy the moment so you can be the guy who says "I told you so" if it all happens to go tits up.I won't dismiss your opinion on his time at Madrid -- although I do disagree with it -- as it's your right to think what you do based on what you've seen. But so far I've not been convinced by a single argument you or anybody else has delivered in regard to Jose's "failure". He himself has said that the last year of his career was his worst -- and it was. But a trophy every year, a league points and goals record is the reality. So yes, his last season, relatively speaking, was terrible, and no doubt his handling of the situation contributed to that. But it has been well reported that the egos in the dressing room would not cooperate. There are more cogs in the wheel than the manager.I've seen you talk about the price of his squad, but it doesn't matter if each of your players cost 100 million if they won't do as they're told. It also doesn't help that prices of football players are, for the most part, entirely arbitrary values. Gareth Bale allegedly worth 80 million tells you all you need to know. A player or number of players not living up to his/their price tag cannot solely be blamed on a manager.I've also seen you talk about Jose not being Chelsea's first choice, and you named Pep and Klopp. When Pep was free Jose was contracted to Madrid, and in fact, had either just signed or was on the brink of signing an extension. So he wasn't even an option. As for Klopp, I don't know if our interest was real or paper talk. I should hope it was real as the club would be fools to put all their eggs in one basket hoping for Jose -- given anything could happen. Ignoring a manager like Klopp would be foolish, but it certainly doesn't signal the clubs intent in as far as who was favorite. As for him saying "whatever people want to hear" (paraphrasing), that just sounds like more dismissive pish from your end. Just tonight on Sky Sports 1 -- and for god knows how long in the papers -- was there interviews with Jose's players past, non-Chelsea players too, talking about how much Jose loved Chelsea and how it was his favorite club. If it's not true, why are they saying it? For the good of their health? If he says he wanted to come back and that he feels he belongs here -- something backed up by countless sources -- then chances are it's true. If it looks like a duck, and it sounds like a duck, it's probably a duck. He said he always wanted to go to Italy and Spain, he makes no bones about it. But has also said that he wanted to settle at some point, and here he is.The fact is that fans of this club love him, and all signs point toward the feeling being mutual. But this story I hear of his failure completely ignores all the variables that were in play at Madrid. It's also to negate his, quite frankly, incredible history. You can't win all the time, even if you're Jose Mourinho... KonohasOrangeFlash, Fernando, sainttourist and 10 others

I don't think we are so ugly that we should be seen as the devil and I don't think Arsene Wenger and David Dein are so beautiful that they should be viewed as angels."On Wenger again : "Wenger has a real problem with us and I think he is what you call in England a voyeur. He is someone who likes to watch other people. There are some guys who, when they are at home, have this big telescope to look into the homes of other people and see what is happening. Wenger must be one of them - and it is a sickness."On his newly-cropped hairstyle :"Look at my haircut. I am ready for the war." sainttourist
Rekin 835
One thing to take away from the interview is that while talking about young players benefiting from stability, he specifically mentioned David Luiz as being one of them. While it is by no means a guarantee that he will stay in the end, I think it is a sure sign that Mou have in no way asked for him to be sold.Knowing Mou, I would even say that it is possible that he mentioned him just to end the stupid speculation about him wanting to sell DL.Anyway, Mou might be older and have more white hairs, but I think the circle have been completed for him. I always thought that he saw Real as the endgoal of his career, but considering how things went this season Chelsea will take that role instead. I am delighted that he is back, and even though I live in Australia I will make sure to get som tickets for the early games of next season. edenhazard17
