The Mourinho Thread

His new Mirror interview is kinda disgusting. Its okay to be confident and defend yourself, but this wow. he seems to be immune to critic of any sorts. seems like he wont change at all his tactics and his negative approach in nearly every damn big game. At least after the CL knockout you would have expected to see some self-reflectiveness from him, but no, he is just arrogant as f#ck and is talking bout his medals blabla and how he has won 2 CL titles and so on- yes he has, but none with our team and he was knocked out by a mediocre PSG due to his shit approach in BOTH games. so atleast aknowledge your fault for one time instead of playing the big macho and letting your ego get the better over you.

He sounded very insecure.

Also I think Allardyce gets unfairly branded aswell, West Ham were playing some great stuff early on and his Bolton team with Okocha and co played some pretty good stuff aswell.

Would say he's one of the more intelligent English coaches around. He's not just about passion (like the Sherwoods, Redknapps), he combines that with clever team management and tactical nous. His teams have never been easy to play against down the years.

Dare I say if he was skinny and more of a looker, he would get the credit he deserves and probably get shots at top jobs.

Skinny and more of a looker? You mean like Wenger? :P

I don't think anyone said to replace him with simeone or pellegrini. Nor sack as well.

I think most was saying if we continue like this next season then that should be a time to consider it.

What do you mean if we continue like this next season? You mean winning the League Cup, bar us literally throwing the title away, be champions. And up to this moment only losing 3! Yes THREE!! games in all comps all season long. Don't see how if he carries that on next season there should be consideration for a change of manager to be honest with you.

This. Every team has one or two good teams. Even the EPL. Bayern, Barca, Real are the great powers.

That's what Henrique said. This season Premier League is one horse race. We were dominant from the beginning to the end just like Bayern is dominant in Bundesliga. Which club was our biggest competitor?

Man City - don't make me laugh - they are shit ant it doesn't have nothing to do with us being too dominant, their time passed. Unless they invest cleverly and get decent coach, they will be in the top for race next season. Wait a minute, there are in the top four race now.

Arsenal - LOOOL

Liverpool - don't make me laugh

Man Utd - LOOOL

PSG dominated us with eleven and ten men. Monaco dominated Arsenal ( the club that will probably finish second in PL) big time. Probably none of this clubs will have a chance to meet the clubs you mentioned, and if they do, they will be crashed.

Bayern can beat anyone. Same goes for Barcelona. The same can't be said for Chelsea, even though we dominate the Premier League.

Premier League regressed big time and there is no point denying it. It's easier for us now than it was for us in 2010 or United in 2009 / 2013 or City in 2012.

I dont even think Guardiola is better. I am confident Jose would have dominated with that Barca side and would also romp the Bundesliga with the current Bayern side. However, would guardiola have won the CL with Porto? Would he have won the treble with Inter? Mourinho get's slated for his Madrid tenure, but he lost 1-2 more games than Ancelotti currently has, but in roughly 50 more matches. He set points records, goals scored, away wins etc.

It's jealousy and bitterness. Also, ever single opposition fan who says they wouldn't want him managing their team is talking out of their backside. 100%

I can also say the same thing in the case for Guardiola of jealousy and bitterness of those that discredit him.

It's easy to say oh if he had this squad he would have done this, and yati yati ya.

It's like those that also say if this manager had the money that Mourinho had it would have been different.

All if, should have, could have, would have scenarios.

Waste of time contemplating that.

You only took one quote and completely disregard what was said before...

Is it really a bad idea to create The Mourinho Moaning Thread?

I'd love not to read some posts.

I think if people are unhappy with him and his methods, if they're setting deadlines for him to change, if they think he's outdated, if they have a list of managers that could replace him, wouldn't it be nice if they had a thread for them to bring all their feelings out without others calling them off. It's a win-win situations. We - the people who have minor problems with him won't have to read through pages and pages of what we consider bullshit, and they - the people that can barely stand Mourinho ahead of Chelsea would have even more freedom to tell whatever they please without having someone to criticize their points of view.

I'm not kidding, I'm as serious as a heart attack.

For some people Mourinho really represents Chelsea, he's one of us. Other managers that were at Chelsea in recent years don't come even close to what Mourinho represents for the club and many (probably most) of its supporters. He's a class of his own, which is why I think we could make an exception and allow him to have two threads. It's tiresome for both sides. Then when someone feels compelled to have a discussion, they go to the Moaning thread (ofc the name is a joke, it should be something else) and have a discussion, and people who want to criticize him without going as far as some like to go in every single posts of them (and they're numerous), come here and another discussion happens.

I have around 30 people on my ignore list... some pages in some threads is one line after another saying You're ignoring XXXX posts, click here to view it anyway (or something along the lines).

I think the criticism here gets out of hand way too often. The amount of disrespect towards Mourinho sometimes is annoying.

I don't think it's disrespectful.

It's passionate Chelsea fans that want to see their team playing good.

Some people are like that, while others are content playing crap and winning.

Seeing this game I will state my opinion once more.

I have not seen anything special about Mourinho in the past two seasons that requires so much reverence and best in the world tag.

Just been about average like that of pellegrini at city.

One good season and one bad.

Not in the camp for sacking but also not in the camp to give him 10 years.

I think 3 to 5 years is good enough of this.

Playing good and not caring if we win or lose, or playing shit and winning......I know what I'd prefer. You sound like a good match for Arsenal.

You go from one extreme to another.

But hey that's your opinion and I'm not hating on you, like you labeling me as an arsenal type.....

Your post gives an impression that you would rather see us play amazing football than win.

I'll tell you this though, I rather play amazing and lose then play crap and lose like against psg.

If you make a statement like that, you shouldn't be against being labelled as a perfect match for Arsenal. That sentence literally is a quote for an Arsenal forum.

Why is that? Arsenal fan want to play good all the time.

We can't play good all the time.

But we can't be a shame.

There's no excuse for not playing better when you have an extra man.

It's ridiculous taking a cautious approach. It's about the same as being ridiculous in going all attack when your up by 3 goals.
