why should be talking about AVB anyway? They haven't worked together for three years now... I totally get why he doesn't want to delve into the subject like AVB did... I rather the silence than the rubbish. They've parted ways, they aren't close anymore, only civil, move on. Why does the press feel those things are soap opera? and they try their best to make sure it's Mexican.

Plan for media to sell more papers.

1. Create hostile atmosphere

2. Prepare for any possible outcome

3. Look for holes in manager speeches

4. Fans make them money

Well Mourinho said what counts is the what you do now and not what you did in the past.

So if he was using that remark to judge mata then the same applies to him.

which is why I quoted a stat with this record at home in this season for EPL. Can it get any more about the present than that?

Jose Mourinho on Fernando Torres: "That's the Fernando Torres I want to see for the rest of the season" #CFC

Really happy and gutted for Nando, hope he plays in the Champions League and gets the goals his last two performances have deserved.

Trying not to get 'overly excited' about a Torres comeback, but a boost in form is very welcome. Well done Nando, and well done Jose for not just throwing Eto'o back in!

Nicked from bbc live text dodah....

Sam in Godalming: Can everyone stop having a go at Mourinho! Anyone expecting him to produce immaculate displays and perfect results are extremely naive. The squad he has inherited could not be more different to the one he inherited in 2004, it will take a while to find his best formula. Also teams such as Tottenham were far inferior and the Premier League is far more competitive now - judge him after 1 or 2 seasons! Not after a few games.
