The Mourinho Thread

For me it is not just the fact that we are 16th. It is the fact that we look awful when we play and there is no identity. That is why I want him gone. I am sick of watching the negative drivel we display every week and there is just too much wrong with the team, the rapport between manager and players and that is why I think he needs to go.

I appreciate it when there is an actual reasoning and I see where you are coming from. Just because the man has done what he has for this club does not give him the leeway to escape criticism when the team is at 16th, especially considering the fact that Chelsea's been lacking the identity for over a year. I feel that as long as he manages to not lose the dressing room, especially key players like Terry, Ivanovic and Hazard, he might just make it to summer. But I totally understand the reason behind you wanting him gone, and if the manager market was any better, I would be sharing the same idea with you.

No point sacking Mourinho but there is a point sacking the players that do not want to play for the club. Mourinho isn't the problem here, people have to realise.

Yes, the players have been awful but in football when results go wrong, the manager goes. These were the same players that guided us to a title win last season so when it is the majority of the team playing bad, only 1 person has to go and that is Mourinho. We can't terminate all the players contracts and say you have not been good enough but I really think the club needs to go in a new direction because something is truly wrong here because these players have not turned 10 years older overnight nor have they turned in to trash overnight.

i doubt anyone we would hire, would get chelsea worse than 16th

We are 16th...

Worse than this? We are 1 point above the relegation zone. A loss to Sunderland would put us in it. Can't be any worse.

Right, and if a new manager pulls an AVB and drops 3-4 players from the XI, pisses them off, and tries formations they don't like we'll be near the relegation zone AND have a squad of players in revolt.

It can certainly get worse then it is now. Don't think we're at rock bottom yet.

My biggest bugbear with this forum, you expressed it well.

I just can't understand the mentality of some people. It's literally a grass is greener syndrome coupled with a sense of weird perverse enjoyment at running the club down.

Last season must really have hurt for them because, although we're god awful this year and some of the stick a few of the players and the manager have been getting is justified, this same lot of players and the manager were by far and away the best team in England and won the double.

We all know if we'd kept Lukaku, De Bruyne, Mata etc. all the same members would be laying into them saying how they don't have the right attitudes and that we should signed those quality European talents like Costa, Hazard and Willian instead.

There are serious problems at the club that need to be sorted but the sheer enjoyment some people seem to get from all of this turmoil both worries and saddens me greatly.

What kind of enjoyment?? You think people who want him gone are somehow enjoying this? In fact, we're the ones suffering the most, because we could tell that the narcissistic, deluded turd was dragging us down from day one this season, from Eva to humiliating painful defeats against Crystal Palace, Southampton, Stoke, Liverpool, West Ham and yet he keeps getting the vote of confidence again and again. We're the ones suffering most because we've realized there's nothing special about him, he's actually THE specialist in failure, and yet there are so many hypocrites who are behind him even though they were shouting and holding banners for Benitez to get fired even though he had top 4 secured for us throughout his whole tenure..

Mourinho: Premier league title was down to MY phenomenal work. "It's hard. Last season I did phenomenal work and I took them to a level that is not their level."

"Special One" this is probably not the best plan to escape the series of bad results (the crisis). The same players won you a Premier league title last year. You have picked them, you have decided to work with them, you have said that Oscar is better than Mata or De Bruyne and sold Lukaku. It's all about Mourinho when Chelsea is winning and all about the players when we are losing?

There are comments like "No player is bigger than the club; They are not giving 100%, we should sell them and bring new players". Think again .. do you think that Mourinho is bigger than the club? Do you think that Mourinho is giving his 100%? His main duties are motivation and tactics ... so once more, think again if he is giving his 100% with 4-2-3-1 and same starting eleven since game 1?

Clock ticking on Jose Mourinho's tenure at Chelsea after club chiefs holds nine-hour meeting to discuss his future

It is understood those talks, which started in the early afternoon, lasted well into the evening as they decided to give the Special One more time to turn the clubs season around.

Paying Mourinho another hefty compensation package and the lack of proven candidates to replace the manager are believed to have been discussed during the meeting.

He recently signed a four year deal. The club will be very reluctant to bin him, given the monster pay out he would be entitled to, so it's down to Jose, and his own integrity, honesty and soul. He has to (if he hasn't already) sit down on his own and think. Does he honestly think he can turn this around? He has to look at himself and not simply allow his egotisical pig headedness to make the decision for him. If he really thinks he can then do it, and soon. If not, then he has to make the decision and go.

He is the most popular, successful Chelsea manager ever because obviously what he has acheived, and, on his return, The Title and League Cup, fair play to him. Unlike his first spell though he has made some serious error's of judgement in relation to transfers, numerous errors. Allowing Mata, Lukaku, De Bryne and Schurrle to depart is frankly criminal. Of his signings, I have said before, initially, great impact from Costa, Fabregas and Matic, but now? none of them are worthy of being in the squad, let alone the team itself. Guardado anyone?

I know Roman ain't short, and has made plenty of pay outs in the past, but even he must be tiring of it.

If Jose does depart, then who? talk on radio of Carlo. I hope not, his second season fell away dramatically and I don't think he is the answer. So who? Simeone? Is the reins thrown to JT/Lamps? I'm struggling to think of a suitable replacement.

Should we really let Jose build another team? We can't keep on building a new team every three or four years when Jose loses the dressing room. We want stability yes, but is Jose the manger for that? i don't think so.

I think this is the important point people are grasping to see.

He lost the dressing room at Real Madrid after three seasons, and he has done the same thing again at Chelsea.

If he rebuilds then the trend suggest it will happen again.

Mourinho personality is not conducive for someone to manage a same team for a large period of time.

Not sure if anyone has considered or mentioned this, but if he's sacked there has to be a worry about the new manager doing an AVB and trying to radically change things too quickly and angering players in the process.

There's a chance a new manager turns things around but also a risk of making things even worse.

I definitely get what you mean. But I have a feeling these players are crying out for something radically different and refreshing. That type of approach I think would do wonders and I think it's what they want.

The only worry I think would be if players who regular start now don't start with the new manager.

What stability are people talking about here? Stability of being bottom half of the table and few points from religation zone? Or losing every game? Stability of 3 wins in a row and then going back to 7 matches losing?

New team for Mou? He builded a new team already! He brought players who performs very very good in first months and then Mou destroys them like he did with Costa, Fab, Oscar, Matic and others. Look at oscar, he played really well in his first season, and then he is done. Look at Costa with Fab, they played really wel in the start and now every player are better then they.

He sold Mata, KDB, Lukaku, Bertrand because they didn't want to track back, to be second defenders, and now they are one of the best players in PL. People forgegt that they are still young and they are still developing (except Mata).

Why he didn't play Remy when costa is dog shit? Where's RLC's minutes? Ohh i forgot he got 45 against villa! Why Iva is still playing istead of baba (who is still young and developing) Why any of our academy players are not playing? We have tons of really good players in academy, Bayern, Barca, City, MU, Juve, PSG are intresting in them, but we never gonna use'em with our current manager.

I still don't get why people love Mou so much? Yeah he bringed sucess to Chelsea, but mainly that was Roman's money. People always give credits to Mou when we win something, but always screws players when things are bad.

Why we should change 20 mens instead of one?

if someone does an avb and drops cesc, costa, iva, JT, oscar forever, it would do nothing but make us a 100 times better.

this is not rock bottom. it is 50 feets below rock bottom. we have no identity. we have no attacking play. any formation cant possibly be worse. also, fuck the players. we had DD, lamps, JT, cech, ash who were legends and a massive spine of our team.

who the fuck are these no good spineless cunts to create a revolt?

People always love to bring up Mourinho selling Lukaku, Mata, Luiz this season, in such a convenient time when we are doing awful. Last season, Lukaku Mata Luiz were not part of the team but I barely heard any mention of them when we were top of the league. Bringing them up at this moment of time is irrelevant.

Exactly, KDB was a mistake but its laughable when the rest of them are brought up.

Lukaku, despite being in the form of his life can only get Everton to 10th.

Mata has been bang average for years and Schurrle has been awful ever since the world cup, yet apparently if those two were still here we would be so much further up the table

You drink it, because tuere are children around the world who would give their life for it. :)

My mom used to say that (obviously not about stale milk but something like "finish your plate, there are kids starving in Africa..") and I always thought: and how exactly does me feeling stuffed to the point of sickness help these children?!
