Blue Armour 4,759
How is "keep mourinho in charge" crowd, derogatory?. You are just clutching at straws and you know it. That statement is no different than saying those who are in favor of the club keeping jose as manager but carry on.BTW we are still waiting for a solid counter argument to blue color sky and peace posts. What is one supposed to say about Peace's post though? He says stability is established by the club having an identity in terms of playing style and then he goes on to use Barcelona as an example. In my opinion, the two worst examples to use in football are Barcelona and Alex Ferguson, because there's nothing like them. BXL70 400
The first part of Jose's 7 minutes rant is a parody of him. Now we know guys: we lost to Southampton because of the referee! Fact is that Southampton fully deserved its win. And the score could have easily been worse.More fundamentally, I think that the transfer policy has been disastrous. Mourinho made it clear a couple of month ago that he needed a world-class defender, midfielder, and attacker. And he got nothing (I do not count Falcao: he is a ghost since the was seriously injured 2 years ago, everyone with basic football knowledge has seen his dreadful performance at Moncao and next at ManU).On top of this, some players are largely over-rated. Hazard is a case in point. He used to compared himself to Messi and Ronaldo (in the Belgian newspapers at least). Isn't it time for him to go back to earth? Fabregas is another example. He was bought by Chelsea because ... he was kicked out by Barca. And why in the first place have been taken Falcao on loan?Of course, Mourinho has lost the dressing room, at least with some players. But he was right in the second part of his interview: for a decade, Chelsea players got the message from the board that if the team under-performs, it is all down to the manager. And the managers were sacked. They were subordinated to the rule of the players. This must change. Mourinho made mistakes. He got it wrong with the medical staff. He got it wrong with Ivan. He got it wrong with the medias and the referees. He does not take responsibility. But he cannot be charged for that disastrous transfer policy. And yes, Chelsea needs stability, we cannot longer tolerate that the players take the decision. Abramovich got it right to keep him. I would keep him as well. The season is lost anyway, and I doubt we will finish in the top four. And in January, and all the players that are still under-performing are kicking out. Gotta prove it on the pitch and if the recent results and performances are anything to go by, then they suggest the opposite. Even if they don't want to play for the manager, then play for everyone else associated with the club. Show some bloody commitment, desire and passion for goodness sake! LDN Blue 7,903
We're not at Madrid or Barcelona level tbh.Yep. Some of the players that start for us wouldn't make their bench.True, but Klopp is just another Chelsea experiment. Like Peace was just talking about identity above, what exactly do we want from this team/any manager? We seem to hire managers that don't seem to get the best out of any squad we've built. Mourinho can't unlock Hazard's potential, AVB couldn't make Hazard/Mata/Oscar click together, Scolari couldn't bring the South American flare to Chelsea. What exactly are we building here? Let's be frank, our next coach won't last longer than 3 seasons, let's accept that.. So what's the long term strategy exactly?
Laylabelle 9,754
We just don't seem to know who/want we want.hire a new manager and no doubt all go the same as before and before know it looking all over again
Popular Post! LDN Blue 7,903 Posted October 4, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted October 4, 2015 You know what I hate about this place? There are posts here that, despite you being on one side of the fence, ever so slightly make you change your perception of what is and what should be. (I love it though, shout out to the quality of posts in here once you filter out the garbage lol)The magic of Mourinho is leaving me & that makes me sad to be honest. I guess this is how Liverpool fans felt when Dalglish didn't live up to his heights the first time around. But I'll still refrain from calling him a 'disgrace' or a 'cunt'. Like it or not, he's a very important part of our history and deserves the same respect. Kieran., Tomo, Azpinator and 5 others

A good example of how the board have contributed greatly to our lack of identity is how they invested tons into the academy and youth players with the promise of one day producing first team players out of the crop and changing the style of play for more attacking and expansive one and that was reflected in the type of players we were buying but then what did they did the most confusing thing ever by employing a manager who is the very opposite of what the club is aiming to achieve to oversee the project. That's just poor planning and implementation of policy.they are all over the place with what it is they really aim to achieve. You will never see well run clubs with an identity like Bayern and barca buy players and hire managers who go against the clubs policy/identity. The decisions from which manager to hire to which players to buy etc are done with great levelnof purpose at these clubs.
