The Mak 4,459
Anyone else feel like that the thought of not losing to Spurs in a cup final is more motivating than winning the actual thing? Is that possible? Because that's exactly how I feel.My God how I hate Spurs.
Unionjack 7,531
I hate Spurs with a passion and more each time we meet them. On a normal day Ive never worried about them and we shouldnt be worried now.If us losing 1 player means everyone reaching for clean undies theres something big wrong with the team. I can see Zouma taking DM and Cahill starting. You know Mou wont let a younun start if at all necessary and specially not a cup final. What we need is to give the lads off their leads and run for goal.Im finding it strange Cescy isnt doing as well up front as I thought he would but he always says he likes playing deep so I hope he stays there. With them losing and this being their only chance of silverware theyre going to be out for goals so if we can keep old potato head closed down and the lads up front earn their money I see us being ok. Ill say 2-1 to us and they score their 1 in last 5 mins.See you all at Wem - ber - ley.

LAM09 7,056
I hope Costa finds his scoring touching again, but I wouldn't be surprised if Drogba got the nod. His Wembley (finals) record is very impressive.
didierforever 7,349
Ramires in the pivot as the destroyer is risky, but nowhere near as bad as some are trying to make it out to be on here. Remember the days of the Lampard - Ramires pivot? He's played okay there before. He can do a job.Lamps-rambo pivot was a disaster. It got overrun by the shittiest of the teams. Also, under jose, lamps was the DM while rambo as the B2B. Rambo as a DM is a disaster waiting to happen

Unionjack 7,531
TeBoBane - Cahill - JT - DaveHappy - CescyWillian - Oscar - EdenCostaI reckon with Happy being a natural defender with pace he would be perfect getting onto Kanes back. If not then Id rather he start than Cahill. Its pretty sure Mou will start Rami tho.I just hope we dont play too tight and Mou lets them off their leads. This game is big and might just be the way the rest of our season goes. Not mormally something Id think about just1 game but its only going to get tougher as the season goes and is our easiest chance of silverware. DYC. 7,542
Is Jose seriously going to play Cahill ahead of Ake? lol, why the hell is he in our squad? if he's never going to play we should have loaned him out or at least let him play for the youth side... I know it's very unlikely but he might surprise and play Ake. This is a final. Everybody is going to be up for it (they should be anyway) and work hard. I don't understand why playing Ake would be so disastrous. Keep it compact, don't leave him stranded and he should do fine.
DH1988 1,348
Biggest problem from white Hart Lane was eriksen pulling matic away from the middle and leaving cesc isolated. Don't care who plays as long as Jose rectifies the tactical mistakes from that game.

Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
I wouldn't be disappointed with Cesc and Rami in the holding role so long as it means we're gonna attack for most of the game. I actually think we're better going forward than we are sitting back anyways...If Jose goes with an attacking lineup it could make for an exciting final! There is no way in hell I can see the Spurs employing a high press on a pitch like Wembley without leaving massive gaps to be exploited. I also doubt they will do that having played and lost on Thursday night, they'd be knackered by the 40min mark.We would be wise to have them on the back foot early, run them into the ground and have them shifting from left to right. If we play like we did at the beginning of the season we can out score Tottenham. I don't care if we allow 5 as long as we score 6. We should take into account that Spurs played a few days ago. We're fresh. Attack early, press high up, keep them on the back foot and wear them down.

How can you give a penalty AND a red card if you don't even know which player made the foul? If he sends of the wrong guy then that means he didn't see the foul and he is just guessing. Such awful refereeing and just mind boggling since it was a decisions that practically killed the match for Sunderland.
