maybe in another universe this would be all done and dusted and we would all be happy, i just dont see it happening, and with Costa around the players and staff in the training ground, its bound to end in disaster for the team morale, this is something we clearly dont need at the moment.

Would it? They're both outright #9's who have the ability to play with other forwards but are best as the leading man imo. I'm not sure either would be happy with that setup.

Just because he said he would extend his contract and you immediately believed him? Costa may be a fiery character but he isn't stupid. He knows what to say and how to use the media to his advantage. Not once we heard in January (or around the period) that he wanted to extend his contract. Media outlets reported the interest from China in January and it was everywhere and hell, I recall that the club president (Tianjin Quanjian, was it?) even came out and made a couple of comments about signing Costa but in the end, it didn't happen because we were in the chase for the title and the Chinese government put restrictions on the CSL clubs.

I think that's crap what Sky wrote. They apparanently want to explot our media coverage with Costa and get some people reading their articles. If club wanted Costa to stay, certain steps would've been taken much eariler.

Reason why Chelsea want Costa at the trainning ground is simple, he has a contract from which he earns 180k per week. That contract says that he needs to visit training sessions which he doesn't do, hence the fine because contract is not honored. Club wants to show him that he cannot boss them around and that is he who is employed at the club, not the other way around.

Well in that case, we better not believe anything at all. 

I dont know how can one justify Diego is bad person and say "he must be lying, dont believe him" and at same time bring evidence that he was a dick who tried to go to china and doesnt give a fuck about cfc, just because MEDIA reported it. And we should straight up believe what media says, just because you or someone else finds it handy because you dislike Costa and obviously "he wanted to leave to china" serves your belief despite it might all be just bullshit (just throwing example here).

I think people here hate Costa for what they read in media and that might not be all entirely true. We should all wait for some evidence before blaming Costa (or Conte, board,...), or just leave the thread and be done with. 

Only what is known to be true is Diego wanted to leave last summer. Thats  what he he admited last summer and didnt lie. Why would he lie now?

And guess what? Even after wanting out and eventualy staying here; he gave 110% for Chelsea in first half of the season. There were rumours he will extend which didnt happen. Why? Who knows. Could be Costa discipline or even Conte simply saying fuck off your not my profile of striker. 

Not saying Conte is wrong, its good board supported him and if that was his decision, so be it. But for fuck sake, dont blame Costa if this is what realy happend. As of now, its more Chelsea didnt want Costa rather Costa wanting to leave and cause problems. I hope Chelsea or Conte makes official statement to put this behind

I stand corrected. But I don't believe he really wanted to sign the contract like he has made it out. Easy to say he wanted to given the current situation.

The club want him to come back and get fit enough to be sold for an acceptable price. Just think it would be unbelievably awkward to have him training in the same facilities as the rest of the boys. Even if he's training on his own he's sure to run into the other players, no? Can't imagine they'd set aside training staff just for his personal work outs at a separate time of the day.

The whole thing became a circus. 100% mess. I mean, I see only 2 scenarios:

1- When Conte told Costa he was surplus to requirements he did so by himself without warning the club hierarchy. In this case, Conte was supposed to get axed in the same day he sent the message.

2- When Conte sent Costa that message the club was aware of the situation, in this case they were supposed to solve situation BEFORE the start of the season and sell him for Atletico even for a low price. 

Now we have this unusual situation that one of the best players in PL in past 3 seasons became an outcast, he is not playing and is creating unnecessary bad vibes around the club that just won the league months ago. Crazy, and in this case the blame in on the board.

As someone who's a union rep it sickens me to hear a footballer no matter how good he is use the word strike like a petulant six year old. I've represented family men without a pot to piss in who've been in dispute with their employer and are faced with losing everything. Here we have a spoilt egotistical millionare who's and let's face it has grudgingly played for OUR football club for the last two years. He's made it clear more or less from day one that he'd rather not play for Chelsea he's been angling for a move back to Madrid more or less since he got here.

When he leaves what is his legacy? I have absolutely no affection for him he's in the same bracket as Gallas, Durie Townsend (couple there for us oldies). It's quite simple as fans we blindly support you all we expect is a bit of loyalty back it's a two way street.
