Weird how as time moves on, it changes your perspective on things. January I was praying he was not going to have his turned as he was on fire and we needed him. Now, with a striker like Lukaku available albeit for a hefty price but who is younger and forever improving, I would rather this deal happen. He has been so off it and you can see how his head has been turned. Just total different player and total different attitude.

I want Kylian Mbappe to replace Costa; he is already better then Lukaku. Younger and higher potential.

Mbappe is brilliant but if I had a choice who to lead us in a single striker formation I would go for Lukaku. I think Mbappe would find it a lot harder on his own up front for us.

I agree the sentiment of having more of a presence upfront, but I'd prefer Belotti. I'm sure Conte will be eager to bring a few Italians to the club as well.

So based on that interview he can't handle the PL because it's a bit rough for him....Fucking absolute lightweight. He wants an easy ride, he wants bags and bags full of cash without the whole physicality of the PL.

This China move is ideal for him, just send him fucking packing quick sharp, and bleed them for every bit of Yen they have for him.

2) Its in Skys and all the other media interest to undermine Chels at the moment. They want a dramatic finish, preferably with us fucking it up, so they can fuck off.

And they've already done all in their power to make it happen. We're playing on Saturday evening followed by the Southampton game on Tuesday that could quite easily have been played on Wednesday. On top of that we've now been scheduled to play play West Brom on Friday 12th May, followed by Watford on Monday 15th.

I have a gnawing fear he'll start tomorrow. I can already see it coming if he does: He'll be emasculated the whole game by Alderweireld and fu*king Vertonghen and he wouldn't care a bit when we get knocked out and humiliated by that disgusting club. Gosh I hate him so much, it's so obvious he doesn't care about the club's interests. Mourinho predicted how we will play in the 2nd half because he clearly knew that this degenerate wasn't up for it.

I guarantee you he will start tomorrow. I fully expect him to spend most of the game on his arse looking up at the ref throwing his arms in the air, that's the only consistent thing he does right now.

Its a shame he never settled into life in London or showed he ever really wanted to be here. He could have been a Legend, when he is focused I love him and I think all Chelsea fans do. Truly only out for the money(which is fine, its business). I am shocked by his recent form but I truly believe he will shake it off sooner or later and help us win the championship. Conte will sit him down and say you can leave this summer if you pull it together.

Give him what he wants and ship him off to China for $$$. Conte can bring in who HE wants to command his line. Any transfers this summer I am assuming Conte sanctioned 100% which means I will support whoever he decides to bring in. He will be armed with loads of cash from Costa/Oscar/TV/Sponsors/Roman so there is no excuse not to go get him who he wants. The board will earn their money this summer or will have hell to pay.

Sad it had to come to this with Diego as I have appreciated everything he has done for us but its time we both go our separate ways.

I am sure everything I just wrote has been said multiple times but there are too many damn messages to read! haha so that is my take on the situation.

Edit: I also think he should start every game going forward, Benching him won't help and it might fully turn him off mentally(which we can NOT have), Conte has handled all man management decisions really well this year and I think he is doing the right thing continuing to play him.

It takes talent to be more disliked than Torres here, it really does. It takes talent to clearly be one of a club's most prolific players since the turn of the century, and still be despised by more than a handful of supporters.

Even if you think Costa should stay, you have to agree the above statements are true currently. And hopefully they'll set the light bulb off in your heads, so you can realise that Costa has all the intangible factors which make him the bad apple squads get ruined by. He wasn't as bad an apple at Atletico; as bitter and aggressive yes, but he wasn't there to disregard the club and its fans, so he was still worth carrying in the basket. Now, he's very much spoiled, and there's no going back from that. The best the apple can hope for is a peasant who has no standards picking it up. A la China.

I dont think Torres was disliked. He was just shit. Its not like he was running about saying "Chelsea is shit, London is shit, Abramovich is a wanker and all the managers I've worked with here are cunts" or doing anything to be hated upon by the fans, he was just very poor and that had a lot of people frustrated because we all know what he could do 1 or 2 years before we got him. The only person I'd say that the fans at games made it hugely known that they disliked in the last 4 or 5 years, was Rafa Benitez purely because he is Rafa Benitez, because of all his Liverpool links and clashes with the club in past as well as the fact Di Matteo had won the CL beforehand. I wouldn't say people go to the games like "yeah that Costa is a fucking dickhead isnt he, I dont like him bla bla bla..." and the rest of it. People are frustrated by his performances, I get that, hes probably just as frustrated as anybody right now too but to say hes despised by supporters? Don't make me laugh. I'm still not sure how hes disregarded the club and fans here? This whole China offer is mindboggling, we are talking about a £100 million fee and a £650,000 per week pay packet, the clubs constantly being linked with other strikers like Morata (which is just a rumor although quotes from Morata show the interest was real but again these links are only discussed because of this Chinese clubs huge proposal to buy him) and at the end of the day football is a BUSINESS, players will look at moves to these odd leagues purely for the paypacket to be financially safe for the rest of their lives, to make sure their family have a great life etc. To say hes despised is almost as bad as when the guy/women was at the game with the 3 rats banner solely blaming Cesc, Costa and Hazard for Mourinho's sacking haha. Despite the fact we hadn't won in like fuck knows how many games and were 16th.

The Costa I seem to remember at Atletico was the one who was world class and instrumental to their biggest success in recent history, we all knew he had a firey attitude and his performances at times weren't great but he had the balls to toe the line and would go head to head with guys like Ramos, Pepe, Varane, Mascherano etc, which is what we needed first and foremost and also who we wanted to sign. We do this every time we are linked with a player, we eventually get him after giving them all this praise saying they are great, what we need etc, that they may have issues but we can look past them then bang after a year or two years or three years they arent good enough or are bad apples or were never good enough to wear the shirt etc. Its odd but also its easier to look at somebody else and go they have better shoes than I do, or in this case they have better strikes than we do...

Tbf he wasn't useless today. He won a few headers on the defensive end, Drogba got lots of praise for that. And he wasn't that bad up front either, but of course that headed miss was bad.

Alonso was waiting for that cross but Costa got in the way and fucked it up

I thought Costa was great when he came on. Played with the right mix of physicality and aggression. Held the ball up really well and linked up nicely with Hazard in particular. Excellent defensive role as well, he pressed well and made some superb headed clearances from corners. Yes, he should have buried that header, most definitely - but his sheer presence and the runs he makes just occupies defenders. He can have an effect on the game without touching the ball. Made a real nuisance of himself and Spurs couldn't cope with him. A much better performance from him compared to recent ones; his best showing for us since the United FA Cup game at the Bridge.
