Very proud to be a Chelsea fan. CL Winners in 2012, EL winners in 2013 and this year almost the final. Sure, the defeat of yesterday is painfull but come'on. Just a little comparision - Toni Kroos on Tuesday: 92% pass accuracy (142 attempted/130 completed). I know that was an "endless-passing-Bayern", but still... that is a midfielder.

Yesterday Ramires completed 29 (!) passes, Luiz 52 passes.

And even the 'accurate' passes Ramires makes are anything but that; they're usually behind the player, under/over-hit etc. Just woeful really.

They're the best team we've played in a long, long time. The way they managed and controlled the second half was superb, it was a clinic in game management. How many passes led up to the third goal? They sprayed the ball about for fun and then hit us when our guard was down. That's exactly the kind of football I want to see us play.

When you play like we do you can't afford any mistakes. It looks great when it comes off (Liverpool, City), but when you make 2 mistakes like we did for the first two goals everything pretty much goes to shit. No complaints. We weren't good enough/up for it on the night and they were.

(I also thought Hazard wasn't 100% and either shouldn't have played or at least should've been taken off first).

TBF AM was pretty physical in their treatment of Hazard. Whenever he had a chance to stretch his legs AM would put a body on him. They were worried about the threat of Hazard

Atleti(a well drilled team) beat us at our own game in our own backyard. Hats off to them and Simeone... The loan system burned us in the end, what a keeper Courtois is! good God the save on Terry and the one off the post took incredible reaction time to keep out. Had we got to the half 1 up I thought we'd win but Cole made a poor judgment and its 1-1. Proud of the squad though, semis of the Champs league, just outside of the title race and all that without a striker. We'll be fine! Carefree.

Rightfully so! They had three men marking him all game. I thought it would've been better to have him play the 10 yesterday, less tracking back and able to get on the ball more. Oh well

Anyone else think the substitutions were weird? At 1-1 we bring on Eto'o for Cole? changed the team shape and it burned us. The time for that move would've been later in the game I thought.

If it were up to me I would've taken Cole for Schurrle and looked to play Hazard in the middle with Willian and Schurrle flanking. Then if its still not working you bring on Eto'o for Torres and Ba for Ramires.
