oldportblue 547
True I agree but it was usually JT's mistakes in that game.ithought cahill had a mare, not jt... jose just needed his quickest cb's on the filed and they happen to be cahill and zouma
pHaRaOn 2,131
Didn't watch the League Cup tie but read that Stones did what appeared to be a goodbye wave to the Everton fans after the match. True?Something like that.

How he does that is beyond meThat's the thing, he can't do anything if they refuse to sell. The transfer request was his last weapon and they've still said no. He can't just not play like someone who's in the last year of his contract and he's trying to get in the Euro's squad. He HAS to play and play well. Everton have all the power here. oldportblue 547
we had a 32 mil willian on RW. so meh on cuadrado.also, i would love to hear your thoughts on john stones being the record transfer fee for a defender and then not being a consistent part of chelsea team. i want to see you actually post those words just in case we do get stones and then we can see what the scenario was at the end of the season. please go ahead. man you are so confrontational all the time, very unpleasant for others to constantly have to read your diatribes... just chill out with all these "I want to see you type it, type it so i can prove later on that i was right!!!" seriously no one gives a shit
kellzfresh 7,229
if he wouldnt be certrain to keep hold on Stones, I dont think he would be so clear in his words. Seems like the deal is off.1 day going to sign Pogba and Stones to sign none of them..depressing. Only thing Stones can do now is go AWOL but I doubt he'll do that.If they reject a 35mil deal then we should back off. I heard the chairman is under pressure from the fans so he might use the chance to reject Chelsea to get on the fans good book again.
Essien19 1,415
Contract expires 2019, Everton can do whatever they want.Stones should not have signed that contract, nobody forced him to do it, now he has to honor it.I understand Martinez, in his place i would do the same, Stones is an exceptional player for Everton. My hope is not gone, maybe they come to an agreement, there is still time. We will see....

Stones doesn't have the option that Sterling had if it came to it where he could just sit and wait out his contract. He has another 4 years. All he can do now is beg, beg, beg. Blue_Fox_ 2,086
The way Everton are acting, you'd think we want to skin the boy alive and then parade his skinned body at the Bridge......i can't see any logic in keeping an unhappy player, i do think Stones is being really mature and professional in these circumstances, however, maybe he will have to show the Sterling in him for this transfer to go through. Also, i didn't read the whole thread in the last few hours, but just to give my opinion, another CB is a must this season. JT is 35 and GC is 30, Ivanovic is 32 and their performances have been shaky. Zouma and Stones could find themselves in the first XI sooner than they think. Pizy 18,994
He's essentially insinuating that we've tapped Stones up and caused him to hand in that transfer request. They'll now turn on the charm offensive and "support" him.

Stats 7,156
It like I was saying yesterday when the news broke forward that he handed in a transfer request. Everyone thought that was the move signed and sealed. It does not actually change much. Martinez would of known personally, when they rejected the bids that Stones would have probably wanted to leave. If he wanted to stay he would have come out and said it but he did not. Transfer request or not, they are going to play hardball. I just hope we don't lose our heads and pay £40m for him. I don't know why people thought it was going to be done and dusted. He has a contract till 2019 and the transfer request won't change much. Us paying over the odds will convince them into selling him.

ChelseaFanUK 1,014
A transfer request still has to be signed by the player. He signed in of his own accord. The guy wants to leave. He hasnt been forced or whatever martinez said
Pizy 18,994
He's been too nice and it'll most likely cost him his move here. If he really wanted out he should've refused to play and made his position untenable. By playing he has shown Everton that he's not that serious about leaving. RhesusReus 219
I really dont care. Worst case, we play a Mikel-Matic midfield and play on the counter. With Pedro, Hazard, and Willian, well rape most teams who arent top level posession teams.Jose has to make a choice, Ivanovic and Terry or Cesc, because these three cant be on the pitch together. Last Sicarius 610
Maybe he just want to play something when he is waiting to move? I dont get. It was so loud about this transfer for 10 days? And now he want to stay in Everton? C'mon. Lets get him and our defence like Zouma0Stones look great and prospectively. And Azpi-Baba(and Stones can play on RB). Its all looks good.
