Yep. Why else rest him against West Ham?

Plus he got 90 minutes against Stoke and looked far more effective than our other options. I'd be surprised if he didn't start to be honest.

i dont think it was a "rest" per say. lamps was a rest. i would be shocked to see matic in the line up to be honest. dint look at all comfortable against whu and listening to jose about slowly integrating players in the team, i seriously doubt if he will start.

i expect us to play with almost the same team that started against arsenal. only difference, etoo for torres.

r u claiming those three are better than matic? if u r looking for someone not comfortable against WHU, look no further than Ramirez

He was quite bad in his sub appearance though. Tbh, id rather had we started Lampard against West Ham and Mikel against City for the defensive stability.

i am claiming what jose has repeatedly said in his PCs. he is not going to rush matic into the first team and definitely not give him his first PL start against man city at etihad.
