Toli 977
Money is a powerful thing, my friend.of course but his agents think he would earn more money staying in germany.
TorontoChelsea 4,064
They could just go with Dzeko and Aguero for one spot. They've only needed so many forwards because they were playing with 2 but a move to a traditional 4-2-3-1 with Silva behind the striker would make sense as well. Shane 2,275
Can see them seriously declining next season to be honest.Absurd amount of money for Fernandinho. They lack depth in their defence. Hart is mistake prone these days. In the middle, Yaya Toure is declining and seemed to go off the pace since he came back from the ACON last January, other then that, Fernandinho is average, Milner and Barry are average footballers and Rodwell and Garcia hardly set the world on fire.Up front, They never give Dzeko the chance he deserves, Silva has slipped wayyy behind Mata, In my opinion they signed Navas about 3 years too late. He is an explosive winger who relys on his pace. He is also 28 in November, so thats going to slip. Aguero only got 12 goals last season but i'd expect him to be decent again this season. And all in all, I don't rate Pellegrini. Already proved at Real Madrid he couldn't handle big ego's.I'm not saying this because I'm a Chelsea fan, but looking at it from the outside, I'd be very worried if i was a City fan. They really need to make sure they get Isco, a top class Striker and in my opinion, another midfielder, and a cover/challenging for starting centre half. EBH 283
I am not scared. They spend so much on Fernandinho, he is not very good, I think. Already he is 28, only 5 matches for Brazil, 8 years in Shakthar and nobody buy him... Maybe he is not bad, but not a 30 million player, I think.I think Man United will be the tough team to beat. City we maybe lose games, but still I think we finish on top of them in the table. They sell Tevez now also, so they need one more good striker... NishC300 1,865
Well they won't have Tevez
The Mak 4,459
City haven't really strengthened yet as far as I can see. Isco would've definitely been their biggest signing and improvement so far and they missed out on him! Brilliant! Now all we need is for them to miss out on Cavani, or better still, we beat them to him and we're very much in the hunt for the title next season! P.S. The fate of Torres is also a big factor.
different level 1,056
Well they've sold Tevez to Juventus and now you can expect them to stick their noses into our business for a new striker.
Noni Zaharia 14
Tevez was a trouble maker so I think Man City did a good job to sell him...
dave30 728
Their possible starting 11, with Nasri on call for some extra creativity and Negredo and Dzeko to come of the bench if they're struggling for goals. They're starting to take shape.
Special Juan 28,187
It looks good on paper, but football is not played on paper. Negredo is a decent player, nothing more, jovetic is un proven in this league and will probably be there best purchase IMO. I don't mind Navas but looks a polished Craig Bellamy to me and Fernandinho is a super player. If we sign Rooney I think we will be a much better side, and even better with de Rossi, but in all this I think we have made one better signing than anything they have........he's called Mourinho!!!! Special Juan 28,187
Expensive bench, with that comes a massive test for a manager to keep players happy.
Bir_CFC 3,455
It's a hell of a team. I think they need to buy a centre-back and they're set for the next season.Miles better squad than United. I'd say ours is possibly better but that Fernandinho - Toure midfield blows ours out of the water. We'll have trouble with them again if we don't improve our midfield. God Chelsea just buy a fucking midfielder, it's been like 3 years now.
Bir_CFC 3,455
Expensive bench, with that comes a massive test for a manager to keep players happy. Not really. Only Nasri and Dzeko that may possibly stir up trouble but they'll be the first two off the bench every game so they should get plenty of games. Other than that, I don't see anyone else who could cause trouble. Richards, Milner, Rodwell, Garcia, Lescott, Negredo, they'll know they are squad players. Fernando 6,602
Favorites for the tittle for me. If we get Rooney as someone says we will have a great shout. But without him, don't expect to challenge with Torres at the helm.
zolayes 14,489
I believe we are just as good as City ,,,between the two of us KTF
Tomo 21,751
Sorry to bump this, but what i have noticed these past couple of years is their seems to be something in the water when it comes to Manchester City, they get over-rated so much it's borderline silly. Now are they a very good team? yes. Will they be there or there abouts next season? yes but they are not going to run away with it and they are so over-rated. Last season i heard and read a lot of people calling City the best team in the league despite the fact United ran away with the title. They are really good as i have said but are they a raise the bar side like Chelsea 04-05 or Arsenal 03-04? not even close. They had an incredible start in 11-12 where they looked the business but in the second half of that season didn't look as good and won the title because of that start they made and they have been living off the hype of that form ever since imo.I have never seen a team hyped up so much for so little reason, you would think they are dominating England and taking Europe by it's neck. Behemoth 266
Tell you what though, Dzeko has been incredible this pre-season. Pellegrini clearly favors him.
