I think it says it all about Torres' character and stomach for the fight when on the day it is announced we are finally signing a striker which could put his first choice status in danger, he puts in one of his most inept, piss poor performances in what has already been a dire Chelsea career.

If Benitez has the bottle to bench Torres and give Ba the opportunity, I will have a massive amount of respect for him.

I'm not sure it has anything to do with character, he's just not good enough anymore, there's nothing he can do to change that.

Fucking Benitez! You tried out a new fucking starting XI, it didn't fucking work out at all which means YOU FUCKING MAKE CHANGES AT FUCKING HALF-TIME! We gave those fucking cunts their only 2 fucking clean sheets this fucking season, what a fucking embarrassment!

But still, Fernando Torres is a disgrace to strikers and football in general.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, ROMAN! :yay:

Well, this will definitely teach us a lesson or two about complacency. It's a bad result, but not the end of the world. We're still in top 4 with a game in hand. I think we can afford this result after the good results against Norwich and Everton. We are not tittle contenders, never been from the start of the season.

The problems in midfield were there against Everton but were over-shadowed by the good result. Hopefully this defeat, as bitter as it tastes, can help the manager and the team rectify these mistakes and make the necessary changes (yes, I'm looking at you pivot).

The line-up is one of those things that would have been called brilliant had we gotten an early goal and won the game comfortably. I'm sure had we started Mata and Hazard and lost, the manager would have been criticized for not rotating. Not defending Benitez, just the way I see it. What I would fault Benitez for was his subs. Any one could see that the problem was not in Moses or Marin. On the bright side, I though our defense, especially the CB pairing was very good tonight.

Won't go into individual performances, but Iva was my MOTM. Had a few anonymous shots, but played with his heart tonight.

Don´t you guys see, Chelsea have many more problems than shitty Torres ?
Mata, Hazard are rested & the team is useless. Flops like Marin can not do anything. Lamps is flashy, Luiz wants to take over every fucking kick & he misses big time. Hardly any decent midfielder on the team, no one can score goals against defensive teams. I mean 2 shots on net against QPR the team that´s 28 points lower than Chelsea ? Give me a break.
Rafa´s line-up tonight was the team´s demise tonight. Fucking dimwit should never had rested key players. Play them & if the team is ahead, then rest them. What good is some fucking Carling Cup if the team will fight to stay in 3rd place to qualify for CL ?

the only good thing about the match ... Marin not being sent off.

we lose to the shit-iest club in premier league and now we give them hope that they can actually make it past the bottom 2 *face palm*

overall everyone performed really bad ... given up on Torres long time back ! hope we sell him in this jan window and make do with the loses !

Was at the game tonight and it was a truly embarrassing performance and result. No tempo or urgency to our play, you could sense QPR might end up nicking it and they did. In no way shape or form can you afford to lose at home to a team bottom of the league with only 1 win all season, even a draw would've been terrible.

All the hard work done and the massive result against Everton has just gone out the window. Absolutely livid.

If Torres playsbelow par,,, Why isn;t he subbed off early enough to give more goal-hungry player the chance to score. I mean when he plays below par the coach should not waste time before pulling him off. The way it looks now its like Torres does not have to fight for a shirt, rather he has it automatically. THIS MUST STOP IF WE WANNA PROGRESS IN THIS RACE...... (excuse the caps forgive me )

Emotions running high...

Everybody deserves equal blame from the Managers to the Players.

There's no such thing as an easy 3 points in the EPL. You have to prepare like every game is the World Cup Final.

We had enough chances to win it, but our Striker doesn't work, Moses also runs towards the player running towards him, instead of dropping off the last defender, that narrows the play and really fucks us up.

Training ground and tactics need to be sorted, get past the defender and cross the ball, it's that simple.

We wasted lots of set-pieces as well - very frustrating!

We paid the ultimate price of being too cocky, hope everybody learns that lesson.

No need for MOTM...

Next game will be with BA, the statue Goldibollox will be on the bench and our players will shine!

There's a long way to go yet, we have a game in hand, so lets chill, welcome the new signings and keep the hate down.. :)

Trust me after the day I've had, there's much more serious things in life to worry about...

Because he hasn't had any competition and there has been nobody to replace him. Hopefully that'll change by the weekend when we have a big Senegalese guy up front fuelled by strawberry syrup ready to tear Southampton's defence apart...

...Or it'll be Torres again.
