Fernando Torres

Actually, if Torres stays as the 2nd striker I won't be unhappy. He is a very emotional guy, started last season very well but since the departure of Mata he started to decline. Now with Cesc, Luis (Atletico background and speaks Spanish), Costa and Azpi at the club he will be happy again. Also, it seemed he couldn't handle the pressure of his pricetag and being the 1st choice striker. Now Costa is the absolute #1, I guess Torres can have a great season as a back up scoring 10 goals. For Lukaku we can easily get £20-£25M, but for Torres we can never get more than £10M.

In the second half he does that incredible one touch reverse pass to send Costa through, and then later on he struggles to get his head onto Ake's great cross in front of a goal...quite an enigmatic player (although I think a lot of fans have already made up their mind on what kind of player he is)

Tbh he didn't do a lot wrong (apart from miss it). It was fizzed at him and he just tried to chest it in which is what most would do. I've been in that situation before and it really is not easy to control coming at that pace. You just need to get something on it and hope. To get it over from there is just so unlucky, he did a few decent things when he came on. Still... he won't play much next season anyway.

He did a LOT wrong. Gave it away anytime he touched it while pretending to be a good dribbler. It was his first game in pre-season, yes, but it's still the same rubbish we see from him.

We all know he's shit. We know what we're gonna get from him and that's a useless performance but the flick pass down the line was good, the shot for the 2nd goal was decent and the miss was just unlucky imo. I've seen loads of players miss them.

This.

Torres was, as he always is these day, a one man attack killer. He loses the ball any time he tries to dribble someone or hold it up in the box.
