Have to give him credit when he plays well. Against Reading he was shit despite scoring but today he looked much better even if he hadn't scored and I'm happy for him. Still a long way for him to go before he gets my 100% trust back but this is certainly a great start and may he continue to impress in the coming games. Too bad the internationals are around the corner, would have been better for Fernando if he could have continued this form without any breaks.

It seems to me that he can do whatever he want. Some people comment on him like they don´t want him to do good. I think that everyone at the games is supporting and cheering for him. Why are the keyboard warriors ripping him to shreds after every game if he didn´t score 2 goals and bags 3 assists and blame him on the hefty price tag. He doesn´t owe us anything. He didn´t put up "I am worth 50 million quid". It was Chelsea who got ripped off by Liverpool trying to sign their hero away from them. He gives everything for the team. If it is not happening for him it is bad enough because it´s not happening for the team playing then as well. So instead of making all this worse by creating this hype talk around like "he is shit, he owes us, he is the biggest flop in the history of mankind (drama-ridden overexegartion at it´s best. what does it even mean ? as if the humankind would care if a player is a flop)" we should support him even though it is strange to do that behind the computer/tv. At least try to be reasonable on a messageboard. But I guess I am just oldschool asking for patience or reason.

Those are the kind of goals that give a striker more confidence than anything. I think so far in his Chelsea career this is the goal/moment that will give Torres the most confidence. Because that was a very very tough goal to score and if that goes in for you, you start thinking of bicycle kicks like tap-ins.

The same excuses people here are using, I am sure where the same excuses United fans where saying for Berbatov.

But despite all that money paid for by United, Berbatov only had one great season and a bunch of mediocre season.

Because of that, by a lot of people Berbatov is catalog as a big flop.

That was a lovely bit of skill by El Niño. Of course the hatas will ignore it or even better find a way to criticize it like they did when Torres won the Golden Boot in this past Euro. I will type this now, I am glad he is on my team & not one of the dirty red sides.
