Sheva. 5,373
Mhm. If he's around for at least 2-3 years, I think we could win the league. Similar to Mancini with Manchester City. Not at all a "world class" manager, but capable.I'd agree with that.
Kojo 4,676
People seem to forget that we are still top of the league. 10 points out of possible 4 games is fine by me and we beat Stoke every season at home so hopefully we have another 3 points next week against them. Nothing major to worry aboutAnd you seem to forget this is a league, it doesn't consist of a few games. The reason why we will never be in contention with the league at the moment is because we aren't consistent enough, you could see that from a mile away. Look how bad we where defensively against the likes of Reading and Wigan, the only game i seen where we smashed it was Newcastle. That was because Pardew tried to out play us rather than let us come and counter attack. This game against QPR could of been anyone's, and i personally think that is disgusting as we should be the better side and by a big margin. Derby or not the problems QPR have had recently we should be giving them more problems than they give us. ANTON FERDINAND CENTRE BACK?, and NO GOALS?. You must be fucking having a laugh. Teams will get the better of us later in the season, we have to make changes just like every team does. Manchester City never did that last season and teams worked them out, it almost cost them the title and to be honest it should've done. How Ferguson bottled 8 points in 6 games is beyond me. How Ferguson bottled 8 points in 6 games is beyond me.I agree with you but I am just looking at the positives as well. We had 2 clear penalties turned down and had decent chances when we made subsitutions. I guess our real test comes against Arsenal. I think Sturridge should have started anyway, my main worry is how we fare against the big teams but although QPR were on the brink of relegation last season they are a decent team. There are positives to build on as well, I am mainly annoyed at RDM tactical decisions today
bababoom 4,478
It's a bit early to play the 'we're top of the Pl league' card, we've played 3 teams that will most likely not be in the top 10 and Newcastle, let's wait and see how we perform against the likes of Man city, united, Arsenal etc.
GIBBO3000 20
RDM PLEASE START STURRIDGE IN PLACE OF NANDO AT STOKE.
chelsea_4_eva 1,182
if RDM wanted to go defensive instead of putting ramires AND bertrand on the wings, why didn't he just play romeu and mikel in the double pivot and let hazard/mata/oscar do their thing at front, you know that romeu will stay back and not keep going forward like lampard. just my opinion. Waterfall 893
He's been great and I'm sure he'll continue to be very good for us, but I do wish at times that he becomes less conservative.
communicate 2,703
While the lineup was a bit too defensive today i think he is doing the right thing looking for defensively solidarity first and building from the back.3 clean sheets in 4, top of the league. Its better to build from the back than the front as the AVB reign showed. It's true that solid defend is the key to win a league but we bought so many good and talented winger/am this season, it's a shame if we cannot become more dangerous offensively
Rmpr 8,977
Come down lads! Last give RDM at least half a season. I dont agree with the wingers nor the double pivot either, but lets wait. He might learn...
Blue Armour 4,439
For now I'll just assume he's trying to "bed in" the more youthful members of the squad as slowly as needed....Otherwise there would be no reason for him to start with both Ramires and Bertrand in midfield against a team like QPRYou must remember that he beat a similar team 6-0 at home last season. I feel in due time, he will be having Oscar, Marin, Sturridge and Mata starting regularly. My real concern is what happens when we face bigger, faster teams. Our double pivot, which is the most integral part of his 4-2-3-,1 needs to be sorted out or dropped altogether
Henrique 9,133
I dont think RDM is the right man, so I dont think he must win a UCL, or a PL trophy to keep his job, imo.I just expect to win the Club World Cup, and get at least 3rd place in PL, and do a decent season in UCL. His first big test will be the match against Juventus, and we will see if he will be a disaster, or good enough to achieve those goals.
YouNameIt 1,511
If he starts showing some balls: yes, he has the chance and ability to continue be successful at Chelsea. If he keeps up with the mikel/lampard shit, Ramires RW and doesnt give Danny enough chances as CF he wont last very long im afraid because that road doesnt lead to success. Rowan_Osborn 58
Just trying to gauge some views. Given Real Madrid' stumbling form, it is not an unrealistic prospect to consider that Jose may be fired as manager if it were to continue. If RDM is not performing as well as us fans hopes, would people like to see the return of the special one or persist with RDM? In my opinion if RDM is doing well he should stay in the job even if Pep or Jose became available, but if he has similar results to AVB last year then who would you prefer to see Jose or Pep? For me it is Jose every time, although I may be allowing sentiment to govern my thoughts as Pep has shown he can build a team.
Spike 12,049
I don't have anything against RDM at all but if Real Madrid keep playing the way they are....welll, let's just say if it came to choosing between Di Matteo and Mourinho, I know who I would choose. unclezillion 23
RDM is completely wrong for CFC. He was lucky last year and even had a worse record in the league than AVB.He failed at WBA where Woy fucking Hodgson did ok!he is playing completely the wrong system for the players he hasAfter the QPR game it does not bode well for CFC this year.Get rid of him before it is to late! ╫rue Blue 47
we complain and frustated, not just about result, for god sake!!but about, what RDM looks to refusal our problemnot change, not improving- double pivot system- how attacking front should played, not static and more workhard in transition- team selectionjust like this post said actuallyWell if he makes cowardly starting line ups and tactics against relegation threatened teams then yes he will.I fear it will be like Scolari or Carlo's second season, good start but refusal to address huge problems (double pivot and the attacking front) leading to a huge bad run in form would see him sacked by February at the most

Igi26 346
If Hazard scored goal when he had a chance we would kill them, because we were dangerous on counters. And atleast we are keeping clean sheet and not conceding goals. We could play better (attacking) but I think we are going to play every away game defensive and on counters (That is why Ramires is playing. he is deadly on counter with Hazard.).Also it showed us that Juan Mata is key player in our team, Hazard didn't have good support from any midfielder player. KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
Taking all things into consideration and his current baffling decisions, No. Quite simply he is not. I don't think he has the mentality and respect of the players nor is he playing the syle of Football we want and there are no signs he wants to change our style of play.
