CHOULO19 24,332
Lol I just realized that we sacked the man who is probably going to win the manager of the year award
didierforever 7,349
the rate at which we are using managers, after 5 years we will have to open a manager academy or send scouts to find a manager for a particular game with a contract of "if he loses, he gone"
KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
I hope this doesn't mean Torres will stay...It could actually mean little investment in January (Scary...) and waiting until the summer until Pep can come in and get who he wants. Krypt 241
I don't think it's about refusing to sell Torres..it's more like, no club owner with half a brain would take Torres and his excessive wages..hence Chelsea are stuck with Torres.Agreed , We spent a hell of alot of Money on this guy i can understand why Roman wants to give everything to get it to work with him. But i just don't see it happening he has lost that spark about him. I don't see even Rafa giving him that back.

ChelseaChelsea 37
There is no way we can call for Roman's Head. But this was never the right moment to sack RDM. No better replacements available. What if the results do not improve?
Reddish-Blue 2,504
We should also look at david moyes and diego simeone.Yeh cause David Moyes wants to leave Everton, where he has been brilliant with the limited funds and take a volatile managerial job at Chelsea. Milan 17,956
The problem is, after sacking RDM, no proper coach will want to manage us (unless he wants money) because not even winning the Champions League will secure the job to you. Chelsea's hot seat = sort of runing your managerial career. Brendan Rodgers was right when he refused to take over.
Bosnian Blue 2,471
Seems like Guardiola is some kind of a God to Roman, because this what he's done to Robbie is beyond me.
We Hate Scouse 10,326
sometimes when such incidents happen i wish roman never bought cfc So we'd never exsist? Its disappointing, but we have to look forward.Capello would be a fantastic option! Superblue 6,372
To that they reply you are also the first winners to go out in the group stage (Although we still have slim chance) Difficult times for us really but hopefully we will manage.Let's put a positive spin on it and be the first team to win the Champions League, then Europa League in successive seasons.I don't know what it is but i still have a feeling we could sneak in through the back door and qualify through this group. The key will be whether Juventus are happy to just qualify or whether they want to top the group. If both go out to beat eachother to top the group then I fancy Shakhtar at home. Naked Mole Rat 437
On a second thought, I see what Roman is trying to do. Last year, he sacked AVB after setting us on the verge of going out of the CL, and his right-hand man, RDM, took over and won it for us. That's right, folks. Roman wants Steve Holland (I figure Eddie Newton will depart) to make us the first club to ever win the CL two years in a row. Of course, Holland will leave after he's job is done, but he will always live in our memory.

gary gordon 1,777
WOW! just read the news. Tbh, i don't know what to think.Robbie was one of my favourite players at Chelsea and when he took over i was pretty chuffed to have "one of our own" take the reigns. For a while i thought our managers lacked 'The love for the club' and Robbie, being an ex Chelsea boy showed his love.I have no doubt this has come from the inside again. With the run of games we've had, It only makes sense. I can't see Frank, John or Ash having a part in it though. Also Mata has played out of his skin. I just hope it wasn't a ploy by nancy-boy to bring in Benitez, because TBH, If Rafa takes over at Chelsea, That will do it for me!Watching the games lately has been bad for my health, mood and well being. I think it will be time to take a break from Chelsea FC. For the people in europe, it's fine, but I've been getting up at 3-6 am and watching the boys lose, then going to work and getting pissed off at everybody, It's not ideal. Stats 7,142
I would have felt so much better had Abramovich decided not to hand RDM the further 2 year contract. I was really thankful for what RDM done but I knew when he got the contract it would definitely lead to this and now it adds bitter taste. Had Abramovich decided to offer another manager the job during the summer I would have preferred it with reasons being that: RDM wouldnt of been sacked as he finished out contract which ended at the end of the season ans 2 he could leave knowing he done the best for the club. But now him being sacked just wipes some of that Munich victory away for me. Regardless as a person, RDM can hold his heads high for what he done here, truly thankful and think it was the wrong decision
