People saying "Don't call him shit if you haven't watched him play"; please don't suggest he's good enough for the European Champions if you haven't seen him play.

I doubt he'd be happy with a squad role, but I'd actually much rather bring back Kakuta and take a big risk with him than sign this pathetic (yes) excuse for a player. Well, pathetic if he ends up in the squad of the European Champions. He's at the same level as like... Arshavin (on a bad day). Kakuta, Lalkovic etc. would be much better as squad players.

This guy is good enough for Tottenham.

Can't believe he's been wrote off and hasn't touched a ball let alone a Chelsea player yet!?!?
People are overreacting here, to those people : please don't jump the bandwagon on Taison if he joins us and performs like a beast.

Well said guys. Some of the stuff ive read is humerous, although pathetic aswell.

Taison signing seems to address the issues concerning our squad depth, as we have one of the smallest squads in the league.

Plus, players like Taison, Marin and Moses should be squad players on lesser wages replacing the current rubbish bunch who are refusing to leave the club while sitting on big wages

such as Malouda and Yossi, who are costing us around £90k each per week. There £180k per week cleared for more new players to be signed.

Seems to be a sensible move all round. The price seems fair, he seems to have re-sale value, he solves a few squad problems (which might precipitate a loan move for Piazon), he'll be on lowish wages and he's got a cool name.

Some people could at least give him the obligatory 6 minutes into his first game before deciding he's shit.

He simply can't be that bad - there's no excuse for the club's scouts to recommend a player as bad as Arshavin and on the same level as Kakuta and Lalkovic.

If he can do a 'Taarabt' with end product, I take it. He is good dribbler, but has not best finishing and ending actions. Lot of dribbling but no end product. I think he would be good for squad role and maybe turn great, BUT if he wont I realy dont know what will we do with him. He will probably play less big but still important games and if he will be frustrating and with no end product, I dont see sucess in that. If he turns in Valencia of Utd, he will be very very useful.

As I watched only game or two of him (when he played in EL) Im not the judge and will give him chance to prove. The only downside I see is that signing such player will limit Feruz, Piazon chances... Why not give Feruz a run and see how he does? Hes young but without trying, believe and patience, we will never create a big player from our youth school.

exactly my point!

£11m can be considered reasonable when the other option represented in Willian who will set us back £20m+ and he is not even the main player in his current team.

I don't have a problem with this signing, provided it does not take away from our ability to add someone to solve our glaring deficiencies and lack of depth in midfield. If it does, then I have a massive problem with it.
