The thing I really like about Oscar is that no matter what he didnt put his head down and disappear. He was always there to be counted, and that is a lot more than you can say about many players.

Many times tonight I had to remind myself Mata was even out there...never did that with Oscar.

Better luck this weekend lad.

He shows once more that he is a great player, even when he did not play so well he was determined to get the goal even in the dying minutes of the game, something torres lacks and considering he doesn't have prior experience of european football like the other lads and is only 21 he is still in a learning process.

I'm surprised with how well he got used to England and our squad. It speaks of his quality and versatility. What brings a massive smile to my face is that he is yet to show us what can he do. He is very young and once he gets used to life in England, learns the language and truly gets used to Premier League, we will have a massive gem in our hands.

And a small detail. I really like his occasional slightly raised eyebrow. It gives him such an intelligent and cool look :D

OSCAR: TAKING AIM

'I have been a midfielder who is a regular goalscorer and scoring 20 in a season was normal for me,' Oscar tells the official Chelsea website.

'I know it could be a bit more difficult in England because you are not playing all the time and you play in different positions, but nevertheless I do expect that I am going to score many goals for Chelsea and I hope to keep the average of between 10 to 20 goals a season - that would be good.'

Another question is what is a typical Oscar goal? We have seen contrasting strikes from him so far at Chelsea.

'The long-distance ones are the most common goals I have scored, rather than the close-range ones,' he says.

'I often try to position myself in the place I was for this last goal against Shakhtar, so that when someone passes the ball I am close enough - and I do score quite a few like this, but because my more usual position is just outside the box, that is where I score most of my goals from.'

I hope Chelsea understand that Oscar will never be a strong, stocky player. He will always be a slim, fast, agile player. I watched him in the game against Tottenham and I could see from that alone, he'll be fine in England."

I like this quote from weber in the article.
