Stats 7,142
Few posters including myself= I guess John Terry posts on talkchelsea...Can i have his id? I want him to autograph my kitAlso, you really don't understand why JT picked Coutinho did you? "There’s no way Terry can seriously believe Coutinho has been better than De Gea and Kane this season! There is more to it than meets the eye," wrote Carragher in theDaily Mail."John, I am almost certain, will have gone around Chelsea’s dressing room when the ballot papers came in and told the squad under no circumstances should they vote for De Gea or Kane, who are Hazard’s biggest challengers."The Sky Sports pundit claims the reason he is aware of the tactics behind the voting for the award is that he was once involved in it himself. He added: "I did exactly the same thing in 2006 when Steven Gerrard won! I was Liverpool’s PFA representative back then and I made it clear that, for Stevie to win, nobody should vote for Thierry Henry or Frank Lampard!"LOL Terry voted Coutinho POTY because he knew Coutinho had no chance of winning it, it was a tactical vote JT was never going to vote for Sanchez, De Gea or Kane he had to vote for someone who was just there to make up the numbers.Yes, I don't think Terry believed Coutinho was POTY. He thought it was Hazard then Sanchez or Kane probably but he did not just say Coutinho for the sake of it. Why not just say Ozil, Henderson, Lukaku ffs. He said a player that would not draw too much controversy if he said it because most people would respect the fact that Coutinho had a good season which is why there was not much people who called id ludicrous. Had he said a player like Henderson, everyone would have ridiculed it. Oscar, you really are having a laugh if you think I am one of the only ones to think he had a very good season.Like I said earlier, I don't know why people keep brining this up. This is Oscar's thread and we are going to have to agree to disagree and nothing you lot say will change my view. Sorely missed by Liverpool today. Sorely missed by Liverpool today. He voted for Mane, mata, coutinho and his english mate sterling. 4 guys he tactically voted for.....So, guys like Cesc, matic, hazard and other teammates could get on the team without much competition, which I'm sure a ton of people do now a days in football... He didn't vote for Silva, Santi, Morgan S, sanchez, etc... I wonder why?Liverpool has scored 2 goals in 4 games with Coutinho starting.... Bournemouth, did not watch it but from what I read, he and Benteke were the only ones who stood out in a game where the team was poor.Against Stoke he won that game on his own. Arsenal was the best player on the pitch imo and Cech made a wonder save for him. WHU he had a bad game. He has been good so far. Our players have not been good at all so we should not even go for. Anyway I am done. Don't bring this back up to me please. Doing my head in now.

Barbara 15,149
I thought this was the Oscar thread. It is. Oscar is a phenomenon... every average player and their mother are discussed in his thread and he's discussed in every other player's thread as well. If they aren't hating on him, they're praising some third level player... There are some posters that are fair, but in general, it's all just petty discussion here and everywhere. Jase 43,479
Oscar isn't going to turn us into a world beater or magically solve our problems but his return can only be good news for us. Can't do any worse than the others/team in general. Barbara, Clockwork and Rmpr

robsblubot 3,595
Oscar's reputation continues to get better the longer he's out. When the team is losing the best players are always the ones who do not play...Remy is the best striker in Europe and Mikel would've solved all our defense frailty just a TC article ago. Next we will drop Ivanovic and the fabled RB (who doesn't really exist) will take his place and give world class performances...yes, it goes both ways. lionsden 4,689
Oscar's reputation continues to get better the longer he's out.Tell me another player in the whole of Europe that offers the level of balance, quality, finesse, technique, intelligence and workrate that Oscar brings to a team. oscar's quality isn't something that can be quantified with stats, his quality is so understated and hidden that only a select few can detect it. It's so understated that some might even mistake it for inconsistency and poor performance.Just watch what happens once he returns, we will go on a 25 game unbeaten run. Just don't come back into this thread once our form magically improves after his imminent return.Remember remain consistent and keep his name out of your mouths. No "oh he proved me wrong" or nothing like that.
Clockwork 1,794
Oscar's reputation continues to get better the longer he's out.Agreed You Can tell a lot about a player quality and importance when their absence is felt. His absence is proving he is vital. kellzfresh
