El P. 1,354
Yes, sack Conte for Hazard to be happy, and bring manager that can play like Barcelona with this team. Lol. If he had played as AMF, he would not touch the ball 4 times, yes, he would touch it 7-8 times. People are still not aware how shit our squad is and that Man City has the best squad since Pep's Barcelona and double-UCL winning Real Madrid. They are THAT level, God-ish level. People are well aware of how good City are and how poor we are. Regardless of that you need to show some ambition and willingness to fight for 3 points or at the very least try and salvage a draw. We went down 1-0 at the start of the second half. With the set up we had we weren't creating anything yet Conte didn't even try to change things. He didn't even try to salvage a point until the 75 th minute. Half an hour !!! after we conceded the goal. It was just soo obvious that he wasn't interested in a point he just wanted to keep the score as low as possible.

Styles 9,790
The worst thing that happened to us before this match is City's comprehensive beating of Arsenal over two games. Because that really scared Conte and confirmed his approach. Just sickening, man. That coward doesn't have a single ounce of professional pride. robsblubot 3,595
With all the caveats out of the way, including the false 9 thing, it was a pretty poor performance against city. He was good against Barca, but not this time. contrary to others here, I don’t really give two fucks about whether he’s thinking about real or doesn’t like contes tactics, his performance was not good enough esp considering his importance and role in the team. bigbluewillie
LukakutoStamford 779
The problem with Hazard as a false 9 is that he’s getting mostly route 1 balls, which basically minimizes the chance that Chelsea will maintain possession. The rest of the team hasn’t shown the ability to bring the ball up, pass to Hazard at the edge of the 18, and make runs into the box to be played through. It appears that spending has been reigned in but the young potential talent hasn’t been brought into the team as needed. Granted getting De Bruyne and Courtois for less than 14 million pounds in total was the steal of the century. It just doesn’t seem that Chelsea has been able to lure young talent from the 19-22 bracket or at least young contributingbtalent save for Christensen.

Well when you say performance, its mostly off-the ball performance right? Because that's what it was. Until Giroud came on for the final 10 mins making him drop deep in midfield to receive the ball, there was no service for him whatsoever. Yes and no. my point is that it does not matter that much. I feel that Eden can do no wrong here, while it should be the other way around: he is the key player on higher wages and enjoys more of a free role, and folks pit him as a top5 player. It’s just odd that those statements are usually followed by false9, poor tactics, or lack of overall quality of the squad. I fully understand these things can affect his performance, but using as an excuse for his disinterested showing against city does not work in my head. How can an attacking player be anything but disinterested when his team is set up the way they were on Sunday? You could have replaced Hazard with any of the all-time great attacking players and they would have performed no better. Sunday was a shambles and further proves why Hazard has to leave this summer. You cannot be that good and waste your prime years playing that kind of football every time your club comes across decent opposition. Yeah, it's probably obvious that he'll leave some time soon but every time when we don't win, people can't wait to say "Hazard doesn't deserve this", "Hazard deserves better", "Hazard should go elsewhere where his quality will be better used" bla bla bla. EVERY. FUCKING. SINGLE. TIME. Aye true, nobody has mentioned in the last 3 big games he's only shown up for 45 minutes. System, defensive approach or whatever, that is shocking for a player of his ability. robsblubot

They were both pretty annoyed at each other by looks of it. Not surprised one bit, Eden seemed to continuously be shouting over to the touch lines and Conte was more often than not shouting at Eden haha. Or the amount of times I heard it through the tv I'd say he was doing it a lot.
