Tomo 21,751
I kinda liked him going forward got some good goals but it's obvious Jose has told him to stay at the back, ah we'll still got Ivan and Terry heheI think his attacking abilities are as over-rated as his defending abilities are under-rated.He's technical ability offers something different in defense, as he can run up field with the ball without having someone pacifically tracking him and effectively offering a spare man in attack, but when played in midfield more often than not he will lose the ball if pressed by the opposition. I don't think he will score many this season however, i think he will get 1 or 2 at most from open play (free kicks and penalties might boost his overall total mind). He's a defender first and foremost, and a very good one and that, anything he offers in attack in bonus. Henrique 9,133
One of the most stupid things people say about Luiz is that his problem playing for Chelsea is that he "likes to go forward".He barely goes forward. His problem playing for Chelsea is that he tends to anticipate the opponent move, so he usually goes out of position. Its pretty common to see he attempting to intercept a pass and leaving his position, or leaving his spot to mark a opponent outside the box (a opponent that iwas alone because no DM was there to mark him, like in the infamous Everton's goal. Its pretty easy to solve this problem. Phil Driver 503
Erratic and was caught out on the goal ,needs to watch how JT positions himself ,but has the ability to be great if he learns the percentage game.

Should have done better in the goal, but you can say the same thing about Peter Cech and...Terry (f you dont remember the ball went to Pilkinton because Terry failed to intercept the ball in the air ), Luiz was easily one of our best players today. jeronimo, Tomo and The Happy One

All 3 are to blame. but that's football, it's a game of goals. Henrique, The Happy One, The Skipper and 4 others

In truth the defense got overwhelmed, which raises the question about the midfield, but if we go by the defensive mistakes alone, Terry lost the first header and then put David in on the wrong side of the striker. That type of ball is very difficult to defend against, but I wouldn't blame Terry either, because the cross was perfect. On other areas, I thought he was pretty good and Norwich manager obviously asked their striker to try and prevent David's runs. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I think every player in our defense was 1x1 against his marker. That's just asking to concede.

My bad, it was such a sucker punch of a goal. The point still stands though.

Jase 43,479
Yeah, it was Oscar: http://vimeo.com/76277491 Seems like it having looked at the players running on the near side. Couldn't tell before as that fella was running like Mata but look slight in frame like Oscar. And Mourinho won't like that from Oscar... meetdoscar 335
He was really good defensively today. People may argue but he is clearly the best defender when he is on his game like today and against steau bacharest for chelsea and it shows almost to the point of intimidating attackers to unforced errors. He is really aggressive on the pitch for a nice guy. The Skipper and Barbara
ChelseasMessiah 304
He looked frightening today, Mourinho is making him a very very tough lad to play against. Never mind row z, he'll boot it out of the stadium if he needs to now.
Special Juan 28,141
I said under Jose this lad could be anything he wants, I still stand by that. I honestly think this lad will be one of the best centre backs in the world in the next two years.

robsblubot 3,595
World Class performance against S. Korea (friendly). Absolutely dominant with great interceptions. Dante looked like a simple good defender next to Luiz. Nothing wrong with that, but the difference in quality is evident.

I don't wanna talk down on Dante because he's a great player but he looked average next to Luiz. David was intercepting every Korean attack. All these pundits can talk as much shit as they want, while he's out there captaining Brazil like a fucking boss. Beigl
