he needs to make deciision more quickly. seems that he wait much time that necessary to pass the ball. he makes the pass 2 or 3 seconds after the moment that he really need to make the pass.

less thinking and more action

That has always been an issue.

Whilst he has improved significantly with Tuchel (more tactically and how he fits in to the team), today he still had that tendency to be safe or take a second or two too long which maybe isn’t as big a problem in the smaller games as individual quality is more likely to bail a team out vs smaller teams compared to bigger teams.

All in all though, would be wrong to say he has not done well this season but felt today if Kovacic was fit Ruben would of been on the bench. Kovacic is just that bit slicker and more progressive with the ball.

What struck me with Loftus-Cheek yesterday was he struggled to impose himself because United didn't give him the space to bulldoze his way through like he usually does and they also had like 3 defensive midfielders who were able to match him physically. Coupled that with the fact he's not the most creative player on the ball, then it becomes a bit of an issue. Kovacic would certainly have provided a bit more creativity and guile.

One moment that really stood out in that regard was when he had the ball, pushed forward a bit, and was outmuscled by Fred, who disposed him.

All are back next week.

So? We have seen now that we implode as soon as a couple of midfielders are out. We had to play RJ there just a few days ago. We have to make sure we have the position covered over and over before we sell a cm

Top class passes for both 2nd and 3rd goal. This is what you want from MFs regularly. Is it that hard?

The real irony is you are posting you want these sort of passes regularly, asking “is it that hard?” in the RLC thread. The man who is the king of inconsistency, struggling to stay fit and having next to 0 real end product 99/100 times.
